Besides an adjustment that's been made to all Sabotage player boundaries in an effort to put the kibosh on "spawn camping" exploits, v1.04a also adds a number of map-specific changes to S.V.E.R.'s Sabo homeland.
The map, which previously favored the defenders too heavily, is now much more contestable for attackers and defenders alike.

166w ago - Today Jeremy Dunham has updated the official blog with details of the incoming MAG PS3 Patch 1.04, and he also shared news of free bonus armor.
To quote: First up is the availability of our pre-order bonus armor!
Originally offered as part of our incentive plan to those who purchased the game prior to its release on January 26, these special "medium improved" armor types and their faction-specific camo (Spyder for Raven, Hazard for SVER, and Bulldog for Valor) are now accessible to any and all MAG players in North America starting today, March 11.

Once they've been obtained, your new armor can then be found in-game between the medium and heavy armor types when prepping your character in the loadout screen.
Expect it to take up 800ccs of your total capacity. Stay tuned for bonus armor release timing in other regions outside of North America in the near future.

168w ago - Naughty Dog has announced on their blog that the next Uncharted 2 PS3 multiplayer patch update version 1.06 arrives tomorrow.
To quote: Title Update 1.06 will be released on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM PST. After that time, you will be prompted to download and install Title Update 1.06 when you connect online to UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer.

• Removed automatic shoulder selection when players click the L1 shoulder button to aim
• Delayed the appearance of the scoreboard to allow time for players to view any medals received simultaneously with player death
At the same time the Title Update is released, we'll also be pushing live updates to other aspects of our multiplayer. These updates include:
• Adjusted hitbox attributes so that players will take less damage to the character's legs
• Decreased kill radius of grenades by 1 meter
• Decreased accuracy of Down the Irons by 15%
• Reduced rate of fire of the FAL by 10%
• Reduced rate of fire for the Dragon Sniper by 10%

169w ago - Today Jeremy Dunham has announced that MAG PS3 patch update v1.03 arrives tomorrow and includes fixes among other changes.
To quote: We've listened to your feedback and watched you play our game for weeks to create what is, without a doubt, our biggest and most important patch yet.
Our amendments are dramatic and they are many and we're confident that they make the game even better than it already was. Not only have we revamped the effectiveness of every weapon in the arsenal and tuned our ranged firing to be more realistic, but we've also sped up the weapon and gear swapping process, closed off exploits that gave some teams unfair advantages on certain maps, and have made it more obvious when it's too late to stop a charge from blowing up.
But those changes aren't even the half of it, as you'll see by checking our patch notes below. The best news, though, is that you'll be able to download this patch starting tomorrow at 1am Pacific/ 4am Eastern/ 9am GMT, February 25. Simply log-on to MAG when the time is right and the update will be ready for download.
We hope you enjoy the new changes -- have fun and see you on the battlefield!
