For now it only works with firmware 00.945.040, tho surely I will update it sooner or later. Just a short info about the firmware itself, it is not unencrypted like the PS3 ones.

The tool is meant for those who will join the VITA scene as a little sign that you are not alone Crawl out of your holes and come up with your tools and research, guys!

I hope the PS VITA scene will not fck up as the PS3 scene did over the last months cuz of the piracy infected environment. ...

150w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Rey Gutierrez is here with a video peek at the morbid, addictive world of PSVita's upcoming title Escape Plan below.

To quote: During this summer's Gamescom, we invited Chris Millar to join us on the PlayStation.Blog and introduce Fun Bits Interactive and their first creation for PlayStation Vita, Escape Plan.

Aside from the gorgeous black-and-white, film noir art style that pops right off the massive OLED screen, Escape Plan is truly unique game, thanks to its two memorable characters, LAARGE and LIL.

It's time to check on their progress. Escape Plan Producer Matt Morton hopped in front of our cameras at Sony Santa Monica Studios recently, and was happy to give us this update on the art-direction, PS Vita multi-touch controls, and to show us why Escape Plan is such a harsh, but addictive puzzler.

150w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has outlined a Wipeout 2048 PS Vita Q&A today which includes Speed Thrills details below, as follows:

If there's any game series that's synonymous with PlayStation, it's Wipeout. This fast-paced combat racer has appeared on every single PlayStation console, and now it's preparing to make the jump to PS Vita with Wipeout 2048.

We recently interviewed producer Michael Pulst, who gave us a tour of the new control options (front and rear touchscreen as well as motion controls), gameplay refinements, and multiplayer support between PS Vita and PS3. Read on for highlights from our interview.

PlayStation.Blog: What are longtime fans likely to notice first about Wipeout 2048 on PS Vita?

Michael Pulst, Assistant Producer: We've made the tracks a little bit wider. Wipeout has always been known for its intense, hardcore racing; in the past games, you were not only fighting the other players but you're also fighting the track. It was so hardcore that it actually turned some people off. It was a barrier to entry, and the team recognized this.
