110w ago - Today Sucker Punch Productions Brian Fleming has posted up some InFamous 2 PS3 from the Sucker Punch Studio Tour revealing Behemoth, Forced Conduits, and User-Generated Content.
To quote: Have you ever put on a wedding or a huge party? A bunch of us are in working this weekend, but it's not just the normal bug fixing, polishing, and optimizing.
Today we're hanging art, arranging some furniture, and (shudder) cleaning up our offices. All of this is being done in preparation for the 60+ media members who will be flying up to Seattle on Monday for our "Media Day" event for inFAMOUS 2.
So you can think of this as our once-every-two-years chance to spruce up the place, and put on a little bit of a show.
So here's my Virtual Media Day for you guys, a blow-by-blow breakdown of what we're showing.
In the morning we'll be hosting all the international press members on a tour of our studios in Bellevue. We will hold out some hope for good weather so we can do some interviews and photos out on the deck.
We'll turn the visitors loose on the bustling metropolis that is Bellevue, Washington and start prepping for our afternoon show. South of the Mariners stadium, we'll be hosting an evening event...
112w ago - Eidos Montreal Community Manager Kyle Stallock has posted up some videos today of a new Deus Ex: Human Revolution PS3 trailer and walkthrough.
To quote: Multi-path, multi-solution; chances are if you've read, heard, or watched an interview with a member of the dev team these words appeared.
This isn't marketing speak, nor are we incessantly reciting this "password" to try and unlock some deep-seated mental programming placed by the illuminati (or are we?).
This type of play is as integral to the Deus Ex experience as conspiracies or transhumanism, or even wearing sunglasses at night (kidding about that last one, kind of...).
In the spirit of this foundational element we've released a new gameplay trailer highlighting three different ways to tackle one scenario: aggressive, stealth, and adaptive.
When you can finally play on August 26th, what will you choose?
If you enjoy seeing this style of video, please check out a similar one we recently released where narrative designer Mary DeMarle takes viewers through a portion of the game, highlighting the multi-path, multi-solution gameplay that is so important to the series.
115w ago - Today JoyStiq.com (linked above), IGN and CVG have made available some Sony NGP (PSP2) Tech Demos video footage from GDC 2011.
The NGP Demos below include Little Deviants, Uncharted Portable, and augmented reality dinosaurplay, and to quote from CVG:
"He first reintroduced the crowd to an old dinosaur video, which Sony used as a tech demo to launch PSOne over a decade ago.
Having walked to the centre of the room, Horikawa then aimed an NGP towards an A3-sized image of a T-Rex on the floor. The rep then raised the camera of the NGP up towards the ceiling, to reveal a virtual jurassic monster as tall as GDC's Moscone Center.
As he moved the NGP down, it showed the beast's neck and body - drawing gasps and applause from the assembled audience."
117w ago - Sony VP of Product Marketing Scott Steinberg has posted up two new videos today in the PS3: It Only Does campaign, this time spotlighting sharp shooting and hard-hitting 3D games featuring Kevin Butler.
To quote: Once in a great while, a game comes along that challenges what we know to be true about certain genres.
Starting next week, the way you play and experience first person shooters will forever change when Killzone 3 and the PlayStation Move sharp shooter make their way to store shelves around North America.
Now, what would a launch as significant as this one be without an instant classic Kevin Butler ad? Better yet, how about we feed that excitement with two new Kevin Butler ads? Boom...
Starting this morning you can catch Kevin Butler and, well, more Kevin Butler, on some of your favorite networks including ESPN, G4 and Comedy Central.
Of course this all leads into next week when you'll finally have your chance to take Killzone 3 home to play...
