33w ago - Designer Mike Bithell announced today that Thomas Was Alone is officially released today on PS3 and PS Vita complete with DLC.
To quote: It's done. A game which began as a Flash game made over a weekend because my girlfriend was away and I was a bit bored, is today coming out on PS3 and PS Vita via PSN and PS+.
That last sentence was a bit of a mouthful. I apologize.
Thomas Was Alone is a game about friendship and jumping. As you can see from the images and videos no doubt littered amongst this post, it is also very much about rectangles.
If you've got PlayStation Plus and you're in the US, you'll get 20% off the game for a limited time, because of the Spring Fever sale. Which is awesome. Daffodils rock.
This version will also give you first access to some new stuff. There's a new DLC episode which tells the story of Benjamin, a new square with a jetpack and big ideas, and a commentary mode in the main game where you can listen to me going on and on about how clever I was putting the game together.
It's spellbinding. I'm listening to it as I write this, because I'm on a train and it's either that or Bowie's new album, which I've listened to twice. You should really listen to Bowie's album too. I'm not here to plug that...
33w ago - Mass Creation Producer Artur Gosk has confirmed alongside a video trailer today that Draw Slasher is coming to PlayStation Vita on Tuesday.
Below are the details, to quote: I'm Artur Gosk of Mass Creation from Warsaw, Poland. This is my first time here, so 'hello' to everyone.
I'm here to introduce you to our first PS Vita release - Draw Slasher. On April 23rd, players can test their fingers in what we believe is the most dynamic drawing game ever made for PS Vita, for $5.99.
Draw Slasher tells a story of Hanzo, not-so-high ninja, whose family was abducted by Pirate Monkey Zombies™. The basic game mechanics are one-of-a-kind - honestly, I don't think they could be any simpler.
The player will tap to run, draw lines to slash, and pinch the screen to pull up the abilities menu. The rest is done by Hanzo. Watch the trailer at the top of this post and see for yourself.
We have prepared three game modes: Story, endless Arcade and Challenges. Story is the main mode, where the player meets Hanzo and aids him in a quest to free his family. They will face various opponents, go up against tricky bosses and finally find out who sent the "rottents" to kidnap Hanzo's family.

36w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill has announced today that Divekick: A Tale of Two Buttons is coming for both PS3 via PSN and PS Vita consoles.
To quote: If you follow the fighting game community, you probably already know all about Divekick. If not, take a moment to read this intro post from Iron Galaxy to get up to speed.
Talk of Divekick at GDC last week was impossible to ignore, but how does it actually play? The game's minimalist design invites skepticism, but rest assured: this is a deeper, more addictive experience that you might imagine.
Divekick shrugs off the fighting game genre's longstanding barriers, creating a sleek, streamlined competitive experience - it's the primordial essence of what makes fighting games fun.
This is a game about outsmarting and outmaneuvering your opponent. Gone are complex input commands, phalangeal acrobatics, and superhuman timing windows. There are only two buttons: Dive and Kick. You won't be using the D-pad or analog stick. You can't block.
You can't even move... at least, not traditionally. To advance towards your opponent you tap Dive (a vertical leap), then Kick to propel your fighter feet-first.
A tap of the Kick button while on the ground results an evasive hop backward. Connecting...
36w ago - 505 Games Producer David Welch has confirmed today that indie adventure Terraria is coming to PlayStation Vita.
To quote: Your voices have been heard, and it's my great pleasure to announce that after much discussion the teams at 505 Games, Engine Software, and Re-Logic have decided to continue our exciting journey together and bring Terraria to PS Vita!
That's right, folks - Terraria will be available to play anytime, anywhere. It's almost like we never sleep!
Ever since we announced that Terraria was coming to PS3, we've been overwhelmed by requests for a Vita version. We're tremendous fans of the PS Vita system, and with its touch controls, dual analog sticks, gorgeous display, and robust online features, it seemed like a natural fit. PS Vita is a great platform for digital games in particular, and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of it.
For those who haven't heard of Terraria, it's a sandbox adventure in the style of our favorite "Metroidvania" games - an indie darling on PC that has gathered an impassioned community and sold over two million copies.
As a sandbox game, it has all the endless possibilities you've come to expect - you can build with dozens of blocks and craft hundreds of items - yet it's unique in how easy it is to pick up...
