211w ago - The 25th Anniversary Tour for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is traveling across the country right now, and reports are rolling in from those lucky enough to stop by one of the locations that a remake of Turtles in Time is currently in development.

To quote: The Alpha build of the game is being demoed on the Xbox 360 throughout the tour, but we're getting reports it could possibly makes its way to PSN and WiiWare as well, though there is no confirmation of that right now. One of our tipsters pointed us to the Twitter account for Hyperfludd (who stopped by and snagged some pics), but we've also found other sources confirming this game's existence.

213w ago - Speculation has commenced that XBox 360 games have new disc protection.

Recently xorloser noted that when FIFA 09 on the XBox 360 is patched with the latest update, the game is only allowed to boot from an updated version of the original XBox 360 disc type.

To quote: I noticed the other day that when FIFA'09 for Xbox360 is patched with the latest update, the flags that specify what media the game is allowed to run from have changed. Originally it was allowed to boot from a standard original Xbox360 disc, however now it is only allowed to boot from a new media type which is basically an updated version of the original Xbox360 disc type.

Those who have ever looked into the depths of the Xbox360 disc authentication scheme know that a "new" type of disc authentication has been in the works since the Xbox360 was released. It is known as the AntiPiracy v2.5 checks, or AP2.5. Is this FIFA'09 patch a sign that AP2.5 is finally going to see the light of day? If so then the ban hammer is going to come down hard. 214w ago - Konami has announced a third installment in its Vandal Hearts strategy RPG series, which hasn't seen a new release since the days of the original PlayStation.

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment is being developed as a downloadable title for PSN and XBLA.

The game serves as a prequel to the original, with Konami promising an interface overhaul for the franchise, multiple endings and CPU-controlled party members who "adapt to the player's style of gameplay."

The game will hit Xbox Live arcade in August and PlayStation Network in September.
