From wololo's blog: Total_Noob just released an update to his eCFW for the Vita, CEF 6.60 TN Hen. The game makes compatibility with previous exploits easier to achieve, brings some bug fixes, but more importantly, brings compatibility with the game Mad blocker Alpha.
We organized a Ninja Release for the game, and hopefully many people were able to buy it in time, but sadly, the name of the game was leaked by a handful of people, and got pulled from the Sony PSN (this is at least confirmed for Europe, people in the US might have better luck) before we could do this public announcement.
15,000 members of our forums were part of the Ninja release, and in all honesty I wouldn’t expect all of them to keep their mouth shut, but it is sad to see that some major scene websites contributed to the leak, in the form of “rumor” articles and falsely...
66w ago - Following up on the UVLoader Usermode PS Vita Loader development news, this weekend wololo has officially unveiled a video of VHBL for PS Vita 1.80 running on Monster Hunter Freedom Unite below!
To quote from his blog: I forgot to upload the “proof of concept” video this morning when I announced Neur0n’s exploit for Monster Hunter, so there you go.
In this video, we are running the exploit (which is done by going to the “Download” section of the game), I then go to the “savegame” section of the memory stick in order to install some homebrews: Wagic and CSPSP.
Wagic seems particularly long to install, but this is because its resource file is a single 40MB file which takes a little while to extract an copy. You can then see me play both Wagic and CSPSP on the PS Vita through the exploit.

Neur0n has been kind enough to share with me the details of his latest user mode exploit, so that I could help porting VHBL to his game on the EU and US versions (yes, the game seems to be available on all stores, and don’t stop reading here, it gets better).
Sometimes porting VHBL to a new game can be a pain in the rear. Many times, as I discovered the hard way, we hit a wall and have to give up after dozens of hours of investigation.
On this exploit too, had I been alone working on it, I would have given up. It seemed impossible to free most of the ram (VHBL basically needs to cleanly remove the game from the ram, in order to load homebrews instead), and the exploit ended up with about 2MB of free ram, instead of the 24MB that we usually expect.
But hey, that’s where comes the joy of working with talented people like Neur0n: he figured out, within 24hours, how to free the additional 22MB. I am not sure really how he found out, and why it works, but it damn works.
Below is the guide, to quote from his blog (linked above): This guide assumes that you found a user mode exploit in a game, and that you were able to write a binary loader.
So now what’s next? Well, as you probably know if you’ve gone that far, the PSP scene doesn’t really like “hello worlds”. A hello world is nice, but it accomplishes nothing, it just draws Sony’s attention to your exploit, and you know the vulnerability will be patched soon, while nobody really used the exploit.
Well, the next step is, ideally, a HEN or a custom firmware. Of course, this requires a kernel exploit, and...
93w ago - Following up on his previous update, today PS Vita homebrew developer wololo has announced that the PS Vita Half Byte Loader (VHBL) will arrive shortly after March 1, 2012 with details below.
To quote: "This has been a tough week for lots of you, coming to my blog everyday to see that no new information was available about the release of VHBL. Trust me, it's been a much tougher week for me, making sure things go according to my humble plan, coping with a few more issues than expected, and overall, taking all the insults about "being a faker" or "trying to boost my ego" without being able to say anything else than "please trust me".
Ok, let's reveal a few essential things here, starting with the bad news: The game used by Teck4′s exploit is not available on the US vita store. Blame Sony and their "275 out of 900 PSP games available for your vita" scheme for this, not us. Part of the waiting time was to see if Sony would add this game to the US store at some point. It is obviously compatible since it is available in other continents, so my guess is that this is a marketing or a legal decision.
