The Maxplay adapter can be used for charging the Wii U gamepad controller. The Maxplay adapter also works as USB voltage output charger for charging most of the USB devices that get their power through USB (such as mobile phone, tablet, ipad etc)

Comes with Micro USB cable.

Output: DC 5V 2A
DC 15V 5A

Below are the details from their official page manual, to quote: Maxgear Cross Fight Converter Usage Manual

Before using this product, read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.

Device introduction:

<1> Connect to the Wii Remote.
<2> USB port, connect to the Wii/Wii U console.
<3> “-” button.
<4> “+” button.
<5> USB port, connect to the Xbox 360 controller.
<6> Rapid fire indicator.
<7> Rapid fire button.

How to connect:

First connect the USB cord from Maxgear Cross fight to Wii or Wii U console, then plug in the Wii Remote and Xbox 360 wired controller to the device (Maxgear Cross fight), after that turn on the Wii Remote power, you are now able to use the Xbox 360 wired controller on Wii U/Wii console.


Note: the Maxgear Cross fight adapter supports the Wii or Wii U games with the icon printed (Please check the game manual before use).

108w ago - Following up on the previous Nintendo Wii U hacking news, today console hacker and mod-chip developer [Register or Login to view links] of fail0verflow has shared a Wii U teaser video via 0xf0f on YouTube demonstrating The Homebrew Channel below.

To quote: "We finally have a YouTube channel and we thought we’d kick things off with a little teaser:

Keep in mind that this is purely a demonstration at this stage. Depending on how things progress and what direction development takes, we may or may not release something like this in this form. Please don't ask for release dates. We'd rather spend time investigating the new system than putting together a release that may or may not end up being the Right Way to do things in the future.

Please ignore the blue blinks. The monitor kind of sucks at syncing to component video sometimes. I would’ve used HDMI, but the Wii U cannot output analog audio simultaneously with HDMI (at least not for the Wii U menu part), and I cannot capture HDMI audio."

Also of note, a Nintendo Wii U Teardown Guide is now available followed by a second Nintendo Wii U Teardown Tutorial and Geoff Keighley of GameTrailers TV has [Register or Login to view links] that: The Wii U Firmware update is apparently about 5 gigs. No wonder it takes about an hour+ to download.

Additionally, the Wii U is able to run Nintendo Wii homebrew at launch ([Register or Login to view links]) and run Wii U games Off an SD Card, as demonstrated in the videos below!

From the author on the release: Hello, I want to share an unreleased EBOOT with everybody but I want to be anonymous.

The EBOOT is for the game Damage Inc Pacific Squadron WWII (FW 4.11) and works on 3.41 / 3.55 CFW.

Everybody with a DECR and extra hardware to dump the RAM can get his hands on those decrypted EBOOTs.
