Sony Officially Launches PS4 / PlayStation 4 Web site, Register Today

73w ago - Following up on their initial PS4 announcement and PS4 video trailers, today Sony has officially launched the PlayStation 4 Web site in both [Register or Login to view links] and [Register or Login to view links] among other regions.

Those interested can register as of today to receive related PlayStation 4 news and product updates. Additionally, users can navigate the site to view PS4 specifications, the PS4 controller, PS4 game videos, and 'be the first to know' as Sony states about their 'See the future' promotional PS4 video game campaign.

90w ago - Today Sony has launched their official PSN / SEN Web-based online store, accessible from Internet browsers (although Linux users [Register or Login to view links] they are blocked) in several territories with more expected to arrive soon.

Those interested can check it out [Register or Login to view links], simply select your language region (such as [Register or Login to view links] one) and wait for the page to load a selection of games, deals and offers including PlayStation Plus.

“We are testing a new web store, which we look forward to announcing and launching to the PlayStation/Sony community shortly.”

Also from Jemal Alexandar, ex-marketing manager for Square Enix, who revealed how important this was for Sony:

True Blue PS3 Disc BCA Codes Leaked By OxweB, Deemed Useless

103w ago - Today /GriFFin reports that OxweB has apparently leaked the True Blue PS3 disc BCA codes (although curiously a source wasn't specified), however, they are now conveniently deemed useless as the DRM-infected USB dongle itself.

To quote: When the True Blue dongle first launched last year, it was originally using 'special' blu-ray discs to play games, instead of just DRMencoded eboots on the HDD.

But even after all the Paradox releases, there was a few games that only were available still on 'special' blu-ray discs. Over the course of last year, various groups try to figure out how to copy these discs, as they were sadly pirate stores that wish to sell them to their customers. Finally have much research the BD-Rom marks called 'BCA Codes' were figured out so they could by copied on normal blu-ray burner.

And now an person by the name 'OxweB' has leaked them onto the 'net, as basically they are useless now, but still it is part of sad scene PS3 history!

These are BCA codes off the TB discs (the barcode on the inner part of the disc).

You to can read them off the disc yourself with a scanner or magnifying glass, they are...

126w ago - Today PlayStation 3 developer cotojestwtf has made available [Register or Login to view links] for the PS3 entertainment system, which is Web-based Nintendo emulator application (similar to [Register or Login to view links]) and works on all PlayStation 3 consoles including those not JailBroken or running PS3 Custom Firmware.

WEN is a first Web-Homebrew for PlayStation 3, you can play now a NES games. No need a Jailbreak or CFW, just a Web!. Works on any Firmware. This is still beta so you can cause low fps, or hangs a webbrowser. Ohh.. and this version not support yet Dualshock/SixAxis only Keyboard.
