To quote: We know some Dead Nation online co-op players have requested voice chat functionality.
I'm here to tell you that we've listened to the fans and are taking steps to add voice chat for online co-op in the near future. To reiterate this point, here's a note from the team at Housemarque:
We know some of you are frustrated by the lack of voice chat support in Dead Nation's online co-op mode. We realize many players have been very eager to join up and start taking care of the zombie nation and we greatly appreciate the continued support.
Therefore, the team is currently working on the addition of voice chat capability and hope to introduce it as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, we're keen to get as much feedback on the game as possible so we can further improve what we think is a great zombie game. We'll be sure to keep everyone posted via the PlayStation.Blog and our Dead Nation Facebook page on when they can expect the voice chat update.

160w ago - A few days ago PlayStation Home Client Update version 1.4 was first announced, complete with a changelog and features, and today SCEE's Home Community Lead Alex Weekes has shared some last-minute launch details, as follows:
As we announced last Friday, tomorrow we will be releasing a new version of the PlayStation Home client: 1.4 is here!
In addition to the features already announced - new wardrobe, grouping, and voice chat - there are several other noteworthy improvements and additions.
First amongst those is the new Character Status settings, enabling you to set a status from a variety of new options including Happy, Sad, Busy and more! Even better, many of these status options will adjust your avatars facial expression and idle animations to match.
Other changes coming with 1.4 include improvements to the menu pad and Navigator, which can now be accessed directly by holding down the Start button. With the new cross-game invite support, you can invite your friends to join you in Home more easily than ever before.
163w ago - European Product Manager Elliott Linger has confirmed four new voice actors being added to DC Universe Online, including Arleen Sorkin, Wil Wheaton, Corey Burton and Dwight Schultz.
To quote: As you may already know, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy are already on board (voicing The Joker and Batman respectively).
Plus, we can now confirm that four new actors have been added to an already top-flight cast of voice talent for DC Universe Online (DCUO).
The new cast additions include Arleen Sorkin (Batman: The Animated Series), Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Corey Burton (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Dwight Schultz (The A-Team, Star Trek: The Next Generation).
"The addition of these actors to our existing cast reaffirms our commitment to gamers to deliver the most fun and authentic DC Universe experience possible," said Sony Online Entertainment executive producer John Blakely.
