Ibb & Obb on PSN Updated, Enhanced Features and Performance

30w ago - Sparpweed Creative Director Richard Boeser announced today alongside a video that Ibb and Obb on PSN has been updated complete with enhanced features and performance.

To quote: It's been about a month since we launched Ibb & Obb, our two-player, cooperative puzzle platformer.

Since the launch, we've been working on a patch to fix some bugs that players found, but also to add some features based on the feedback we got.

The most requested feature was to have indicators showing where players are when they fly off screen. Those are now in, along with d-pad support for those of you who prefer that to the analog stick. Also, we managed to improve general performance quite a bit - now everything runs at 60 FPS in full HD, with anti aliasing on.

For us, some of the most interesting things of the last month are the Let's Play videos that pop up. Often made by players that dive into the game without having played it before or knowing much about it. From a game designer point of view these videos are extremely useful.

We've seen a lot of people play during development, but it's different when players know the game is still unfinished or when they can ask you questions directly. The Let's Play videos feel more real. They show the published product and are often recorded...

Video: Tearaway Release Date Updated for PlayStation Vita

50°
38w ago - Media Molecule Creative Lead developer Rex Crowle shared a video today announcing that the Tearaway release date is updated for the PlayStation Vita platform.

To quote: Here at Media Molecule we love to make new things on new platforms.

To us, making games is a real labor of love. Our very blood, sweat and tears are poured into every pixel, every line of code, every note in every song, and every little post it note we use to plan our lives.

Tearaway is our first handheld game, set in a totally new world, with characters on a new adventure.

Throughout development we have constantly explored all the ways we could think of to create the most fun and enjoyable experiences possible on PS Vita, whilst also learning how to make a 3D creative platformer! We are really proud of the work we are doing, and are really excited to share it with you!

We are now in the final stages of development, and have come to the realisation that we need a little more time than we anticipated to finish the game; to tie all of the mechanics, story and amazing visuals together into the adventure that we want you to play. To give us that time, we've decided to move the release date by one month, from mid-October, to November 22nd.

48w ago - New Media President Lance Koenders announced today that Laugh Factory on PlayStation 3 is now updated for fans with details below.

To quote: How much do you think your health is worth? How much do you think having a smile on your face every day is worth? When the stresses of life - work, school, traffic, kids - get too much for you, the best escape, the best medicine, is laughter.

The Laugh Factory has been providing the biggest and best laughs for over 34 years. Owner and Founder Jamie Masada, has referred to comedians for years as "Doctors of the Soul" and his new partnership with PlayStation 3 is offering laughs to PlayStation 3 subscribers for only 10 cents a day.

For less than $3 a month, the best comedians in the world will help you forget your problems or, at the very least, help you laugh at their problems!

"It is our mission to bring smiles to the faces of as many people in the world as possible and the monthly fee barely cover our costs," says Masada, "but it is cheaper than any pharmaceutical solution, I'll tell you that. Perhaps this offer will put Big Pharma out of business."

In addition to the established comics, new comedians will be added daily offering thousands of hours of laughs and smiles to help provide you with...
