50°
3w ago - Powers Executive Producer Brian Michael Bendis announced today that the Stream NYCC Panel begins tomorrow with a first look at Eddie Izzard as Wolfe below!

To quote: Hello again!!

This is Brian Bendis, the executive producer of the PlayStation original series Powers and co-creator of the comic book series the show is based on.

I am broadcasting to you from New York City where we are just a day away from our Powers panel at New York Comic Con.

For those of you who don't know, Powers is an original series that will be available free for [Register or Login to view links] members. And it's produced by Sony Pictures Television, the talented studio behind Breaking Bad.

Powers tells the story of homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are ordinary detectives working on cases that just so happen to involve people with extraordinary powers. As we speak, the show is filming in Atlanta under the showrunning genius of Charlie Huston, the critically acclaimed crime novelist.

Every day I get to sift through the footage from the day before and every day I smile ear to ear because the show looks so good and the actors are giving amazing performances....

50°
3w ago - Sony President and CEO Shawn Layden announced today that Vib Ribbon finally releases on PS3 and PS Vita in North America tomorrow.

To quote: Apologies to have kept you waiting...

Hey everyone! If you saw our [Register or Login to view links] a few months back you may recall, amid all the great games and oversized hand gestures, that I gave a shout out to what I believe to be one of the most iconic games from PlayStation's first generation: Vib Ribbon.

I wanted to give Vibri some much-deserved, though belated, screen time as I felt this game really captured the crazy that PlayStation was keen to offer back then... and look to continue now with our outreach to the innovative and indie game community.

I figured Vib Ribbon was a perfect example, and today I'm pleased to announce that Vib Ribbon will finally make a long overdue release in the US, Canada, Latin America and Japan this week, with Europe following next week.

First, some quick backstory on a gaming legend. When Vib Ribbon first appeared in the PSone era, I was working for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe in London evaluating US and Japanese titles for possible release in Europe. One day we came upon a game developed by a team I admired very much: Masaya Matsuura...

Q-Games Shares New Gameplay Details on The Tomorrow Children

50°
6w ago - Q-Games Ltd President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert shared new PS4 gameplay details today on The Tomorrow Children for PlayStation 4 below.

To quote: I'm excited to be at TGS announcing more news about The Tomorrow Children. As we continue to build and perfect The Tomorrow Children's open world concept, we wanted to expand upon the details we revealed at Gamescom and share more about the game.

The Tomorrow Children is an online game, combining synchronous and asynchronous gameplay. This is to encourage a fresh style of play. If you just want to explore by yourself you can and other players can't see you.

But if you want to interact with other players, your actions in the world will begin to pop up in their worlds. The world itself is synchronized too, so your interactions appear in both your own world and theirs.

For example: if you dig a hole, that hole will be dug in the same place for other players in their world. It's pretty interesting to see people working together within this system, digging out to find resources and using them to build up their towns together.

People have asked what kind of roles players can assume in the game. The Tomorrow Children is a sandbox but there are some loosely defined roles you can take on such as Radio Officer which...

Video: The Tomorrow Children: Dylan Cuthbert on His PS4 Exclusive

50°
6w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton is here with a PS4 video spotlighting Dylan Cuthbert on his weird, wonderful PlayStation 4 exclusive The Tomorrow Children below.

To quote: Among the brand new PS4 games announced by Sony Worldwide Studios at Gamescom last month was [Register or Login to view links] - a striking, unusual open-world adventure title from the reliably eccentric PixelJunk developer, Q-Games.

As you can tell from the reveal trailer, it's an intriguingly out-there creation, placing you in the shoes of a clone as she explores a strange post-apocalyptic landscape in search of resources to restore humanity and protect her fledgling community from fearsome beasts.

Duly, its reveal threw up all manner of questions about what exactly players should expect when it lands on PS4 in 2015. In search of some answers, I sat down with Q-Games founder and veteran designer Dylan Cuthbert to find out more about his studio's big, bold and bizarre new project.

I think it's fair to say that The Tomorrow Children was one of the more unusual titles that debuted at Gamescom. Lots...
