Below are the changes from his blog, as follows: Here is a small update for They Do Not Die 2 along with its first Windows release.

I've added blood and corpses. On Wii and PS3 they quickly shrink until they disappear but on Windows they fade instead of shrink (which I think looks a lot better) and there can be more of them in the game world at a time which means that they disappear more slowly.

I've also made a handful of minor and most likely unnoticeable changes (mostly related to city generation).

To quote from his blog (linked above): The beginning of an untitled Pokemon game - PS3

I’m not a fan of fan games or reusing other peoples sprites or other art assets like this (especially from mainstream commercial games) but I’m also an inconsistent hypocrite. So this is what I did yesterday (and finished up today).

I went and found a complete map of the over world from the original Red/Blue Pokemon games, made a sprite sheet consisting of (nearly) all of the tiles used in it, wrote a simple program (using C++ and SDL) that matched each 16x16 section of the map to one of the tiles and saved the map as a nice small usable 2D char array of tiles, got confused when it didn’t work properly, re saved the map and the sprite sheet images with the same limited color table (why were the RGB values differing...

From his blog (linked above): The completely remade 3D edition of UFO Racer is finally on Wii! The Wii port even features motion controls like it did in the 2D version that preceded this.

Along with porting it I’ve made a few improvements. The high score is saved every time you finish a lap, there is now on screen text telling you what your time was from the previous lap, there have been slight changes to the track geometry and texture, the track is now loaded from an external file (it was previously hard coded into the game) and the font used for on screen text...

From his blog, to quote: Recycle today for a better tomorrow! Cubicle Shooter City is a top down dual stick shooter that uses the city generator I made for Hero City 2 and the character models from Cubicle Shooter.

To be honest I'm not very happy with how it turned out. It performs poorly and I think it looks ugly. Does anyone want me to continue working on this? What would you like to see added or changed? There where a few things I was planning to do but now I think I'm most likely going to just abandon this.

In b4 someone gives me sht for making a new game and abandoning it to move on to other things instead of sinking 20 years of my life into perfecting its mediocrity.

I will definitely be working on UFO Racer this month, I'm also going to be posting source code soon and for any of you with a homebrew enabled Wii I'll be making Wii ports...

UFO Racer v3.0 PS3 Homebrew Game Port is Released

126w ago - This weekend PlayStation 3 homebrew developer ThatOtherDev has released a PS3 game port of UFO Racer v3.0 with details below.

From his blog, to quote: This will be the third time I have made this game (remade not just ported), and I have become exceedingly efficient at it. It is however the first time it is on PS3 and it’s back to being in 3D (though for the time being it isn’t rendering 100% correctly like it is in the above screenshot) so huzzah for that.

UFO Racer, as the self-explanatory title suggests, is a racing game involving extra terrestrials in hovering/flying vehicles. Some stats are displayed on screen showing how much of the looping track you have finished, how many times you have completed a lap and what the shortest amount of time you have done so in has been.

Use the analog stick(s) to control the ship.

I’ll be updating, fixing up and improving it as soon as I get the time but I’m really trying to get some other things done before the end of the month so I’ll be busy...
