80w ago - Techland International Brand Manager Blazej Krakowiak posted up a video today showcasing their post-apocalyptic playground Dying Light on PS4.

Below are the details, to quote: E3 is always an exciting time for the world of gaming. Never more so than this year, with the new console generation offering new opportunities and new, wonderful technology for us developers to tinker with. It's also a special show for Techland.

We're thrilled to give media their first hands-on demo of our biggest and most ambitious project to date, Dying Light. But there's more! You, the gamers, are the most important people in this project, so before the show we're giving you a glimpse into the unforgiving world of the game.

The city, devastated by a deadly outbreak, is a battleground. Witness the survivors' desperate race to a cache of supplies. Free running from here to there is only a part of the challenge.

The real test is trying to stay alive through the night, when the infected become more active and even more deadly. This is your world now, every day and every night, so run! Good night, good luck!

81w ago - Sucker Punch Technical Director Spencer Alexander posted up a video today showcasing the tech of Second Son on PS4 below.

To quote: E3 is almost upon us! Seems like yesterday, we revealed inFAMOUS: Second Son to the world. Since the announce event in New York, we here at Sucker Punch have been hard at work so we can show you more of Delsin Rowe, our new protagonist in action.

BTW, if you want more info on Second Son and if you haven't seen the June cover of GameInformer, you might want to check it out! GameInformer [Register or Login to view links] featuring multiple stories that bring Second Son to life on PlayStation 4.

Today, as part of our lead up to E3, we're letting you peer into our development process to bring the "E" into Emotion Capture (yep... took us all week to come up with that one) in the first installment of inSIDE Sucker Punch!

Gamers have grown to expect more than just detailed worlds with high poly-counts and slick graphics. They want more engaging content and a backstory, with great characters and actors that can give them life. This type of cinematic quality can only happen when the actor's performances can be captured with great detail.

At Sucker Punch we have sought to meet this demand by introducing...

Watch_Dogs for PS4 and PS3: Details on the Future-Tech Action Epic

200°
84w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Sid Shuman shared details today on Watch_Dogs for PS4 and PS3 detailing the the future-tech action epic below.

To quote: Watch_Dogs's dark vision of technological totalitarianism is heading to PS3 and PS4, and we were lucky enough to see the first live gameplay demo in San Francisco earlier this week (played on a DualShock 4, no less!). We've carefully studied the footage, asked pressing questions, and present you with this breakdown.

1. Aiden Pierce isn't your typical videogame protagonist

"Aiden is a man with a dark past who has made questionable choices," Lead Story Designer Kevin Shortt explained in our first live gameplay demo.Growing up in Chicago, Aiden used his technical prowess to infiltrate bank accounts and access surveillance systems, becoming something of a vigilante. Naturally, these pursuits earned him some powerful enemies on both sides of the law.

As you play Watch_Dogs, you won't be choosing between stark extremes on some binary morality scale, but defining where Aiden resides on much murkier spectrum of acceptability.

2. Chicago isn't your typical videogame city

We've all played open-world action games where cities feel more like a collection of giant painted boxes than a...

DJMax Technika Tune: Turning PS Vita Into a Rhythm Game Machine

50°
107w ago - Pentavision Global Product Manager Eddie Lehecka has shared a video today spotlighting DJMax Technika Tune turning PS Vita into a rhythm game machine.

Below are the details, to quote: Making the decision to develop an entry of the DJMAX TECHNIKA franchise for PlayStation Vita was something of a no-brainer.

The arcade game is known for its stylish cabinet, high-definition background videos, and innovative touch-screen game play. PS Vita is known for its stylish design, high-definition graphics, and innovative dual touch control scheme. Everything seems to line up, until you realize that the gameplay experience on a 22" touch screen has to be re-created for a handheld platform.

If you're not familiar with the DJMAX TECHNIKA arcade franchise, at its core it plays like most other arcade music games. It has a dedicated control interface used to activate "notes" in as accurate timing with the music as possible.

In TECHNIKA's case the game uses two sets of four horizontal lanes with a timing line that scrolls clockwise on the screen. Even on the 22" arcade monitor, the play field takes up nearly all of the real estate out of necessity.

Our solution was to cut two of the rows to make the interface...
