BioWare Announces Dragon Age Origins: Return to Ostagar DLC

225w ago - BioWare has announced that the long awaited downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon Age Origins, dubbed Return to Ostagar, will be released for the XBox 360 and PC on January 5, 2009.

PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until later this January. No reasons on why the PlayStation 3 version is delayed, but perhaps it's the exclusivity BioWare is giving to Microsoft's XBox 360 and the PC.

Press Release: BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts, announced today that the Return to Ostagar downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon Age: Origins will be released on January 5 in North America and Europe for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game at a cost of 400 BioWare Points or Microsoft Points. The DLC will be available for the PlayStation 3 later in January priced at $4.99.

Return to Ostagar allows players to exact their revenge and embark on a quest for the mighty arms and armor of the once great King Cailan when they revisit Ostagar, the site of the Grey Wardens' darkest hour, to reclaim the honor and learn the secrets of Ferelden's fallen king.

Aaryn Flynn, the General Manager and Vice President at BioWare Edmonton had the following to say:

"We are thrilled at the way the fans have embraced Dragon Age: Origins and we're excited to welcome them back into the...

Sega: Valkyria Chronicles Series Could Return to PlayStation 3

250°
239w ago - Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best exclusive games on the PlayStation 3. For that reason, many fans were upset to learn that Valkyria Chronicles II is only coming to the PSP.

Sega isn't completely shutting down the door to another Valkyria Chronicles game for the PlayStation 3 just yet, however.

Aaron Webber, the Assistant Community Manager for Sega of America, responded with the following statement on the European Playstation.Blog when a fan showed disdain for Valkyria Chronicles II being exclusive to the PSP, to quote:

"So far it seems like most of the fans are really just happy to see the series continue - and, if VCII sells well, it means a much greater chance that the series can pick up again back on a larger console, like the PS3."

So, oddly enough, a new Valkyria Chronicles game on the PlayStation 3 could depend on the sales of Valkyria Chronicles II for the PSP. The handheld sequel will be released in Europe and North America during the summer of 2010.

Review: Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard for PS3

50°
267w ago - Who is Matt Hazard? This is a question that the majority of the gaming populace is going to inquire when they first get a glimpse at Eat Lead.

According to the front of the box this is his return to gaming, and unless you have been keeping tabs on the parody that publisher D3 has been creating with this title things could get confusing.

Eat Lead is a videogame that attempts to poke fun at the clichés of gaming while telling the story of a washed-up gaming legend that is finally getting a chance to make a comeback. What follows is a mess of poor game design, selective humor and some genuinely frustrating boss encounters.

As you can imagine you assume the role of Matt Hazard, a washed-up videogame superstar that was once the biggest name in interactive entertainment. Over the years your name becomes tarnished due to licensing it out to crappy spin-offs and of course the obligatory kart racing game.

Unfortunately for the company they have signed a lifetime contract with the fading star so he can simply sit back and enjoy his success without having to worry about anything. That is until a brand new CEO takes over the company and decides that it is time for Hazard to go. The plot revolves around Wally (the new CEO) and his mission to once and for all eliminate Hazard. Matt learns...
