Videos: The Tomorrow Children PS4 Alpha Videos, Infographic

100°
5w ago - Q-Games Community Manager John Davis posted up some PS4 Alpha videos today spotlighting The Tomorrow Children on PlayStation 4 alongside an Infographic below!

To quote: Hello aspiring projection clones! I'm John Davis, a community manager here at Q-Games. As you might know, we recently finished the closed alpha test for our upcoming PS4 exclusive, [Register or Login to view links].

The alpha was amazing and gave players a great sneak peek at what we we're working on, plus it was a chance to get lots of data on exactly what players will be doing in the Void once The Tomorrow Children arrives on PS4 next year. We had a great time playing with everyone and it was incredibly informative on top of that. The best of both worlds!

For the vast majority of people who didn't get into the alpha, there's been a lot of questions about exactly what The Tomorrow Children is, and we can understand that.

If you've been keeping up with our posts here on PlayStation.Blog, you know that The Tomorrow Children takes place in a dystopian future where a Cold War experiment to meld the minds of all of humanity resulted in the near extinction of the human race.

What type of 'perks' would interest you in us adding to PS3News.com?

Our goal is to reward those (like you!) who contribute to the site and forums, so we're seeking suggestions and feedback

If you have any ideas, feel free to discuss them in this thread. UserGroups below Jr Member will be able to view but not reply to this topic, so as not to litter it just to boost their post count up.

Some 'Perks' Ideas:

  • Separate Public Forum just for higher up UserGroups to post in, others can only view it in read-only mode.

  • Private Forum just for higher up UserGroups to post in, to discuss/share whatever without the whole site accessing it.

  • We could add a @Mention system (such as dragonbyte-tech.com/product/20-advanced-user-tagging/) for contributors.

  • We could parse all links...

Road Not Taken Free PS4 Update is Out Now on PlayStation 4

100°
6w ago - Spry Fox CEO David Edery announced that the Road Not Taken free PS4 update is out now on PlayStation 4 with details below!

To quote: Hi folks! We're pleased to announce the first major (free!) update to Road Not Taken is hitting your PS4s now! There's a lot of goodies in here, the most notable of which include:

• "Easier" mode and hard mode: many people have told us that while they love the original gameplay and the art in Road Not Taken, the game is simply too difficult for them. After chewing on this feedback for a while, we decided to split the game into two modes, Normal and Hard.

"Hard" is basically our original mode with just a few tweaks; "Normal" is a new mode that is more generous with energy and has less crowded (and therefore less difficult) rooms, among other changes.

In addition, checkpoints are now less punishing to use (in both modes), so players who felt like they were pointless before will hopefully find them more of a tempting gamble now.

• New "just for fun" Timed Mode: try to rescue all the kids within four minutes! You lose time whenever you take damage, and you add time to the clock whenever you eat food and rescue children. Timed Mode has no impact on your career, so it's a great way to enjoy Road Not Taken for a few minutes with limited...

Enter the Gungeon PS4 is Coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015

7w ago - Dodge Roll Founder and Designer Dave Crooks announced today alongside a PS4 trailer video that Enter the Gungeon is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015.

To quote: Hey there! I'm Dave Crooks from Dodge Roll, a small studio composed of myself and 4 good friends. After a few years making games at a larger company, we banded together to make games we love from the comfortable low-light conditions of our apartment.

Earlier this year we had the opportunity to partner with Devolver Digital, and working with them has been totally rad.

Our first game is Enter the Gungeon, a gunfight dungeon crawler. Players control of one of several misfits, each of whom are burdened by a deep regret.

Seeking a way to change their past, these sorry few have made pilgrimage to a distant planet where a "gun that can kill the past" is said to be sealed in the deepest depths of an ancient temple to the terrifying might of firearms: the Gungeon.

Enter the Gungeon is a fast-paced radial shooter fused with a dungeon-crawler lootfest. The Gungeon challenges players to fight, dodge roll, and table-flip their way through an increasingly difficult series of floors to the bottom of the Gungeon. Each floor is filled with enemies,...

Batman Arkham Knight: Look at the Scarecrow Nightmare Missions

50°
7w ago - Rocksteady Studios Social Marketing guru Gaz Deaves offers a first look at the Scarecrow Nightmare Missions in Batman Arkham Knight on PS4 today in a PlayStation 4 video trailer below.

To quote: Hello on behalf of Rocksteady Studios and WB Games!

In our previous two videos, you've seen Batman infiltrate the Ace Chemicals plant, take on the Arkham Knight's militia forces and engage a platoon of unmanned drone tanks in the awesome new Batmobile, all with the objective of bringing Scarecrow's devastating plan to a halt.

We've demonstrated some new game features including the "Fear Takedown" and gadgets while gliding, as well as showing you the seamless integration of the Batmobile into the core Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay.

In this third and final part, we'll see Batman remote control the Batmobile to solve puzzles, and push his combat skills to the limit as he tackles a room full of armed mercenaries to save the Ace Chemicals' workers. Plus you'll get the first reveal of the showdown between the Batmobile and the Arkham Knight's powerful attack helicopter.

As an added bonus, check out the first look at the PlayStation-exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare Pack.
