184w ago - Zipper Interactive Community Specialist Chris Roper has unveiled today that the SOCOM 4 PS3 soundtrack is composed by none other than Battlestar Galactica's Bear McCreary.
To quote: While the SOCOM franchise may be best known for its top-notch online multiplayer aspects, we think you'll be blown away with what's in store for you in SOCOM 4's single-player campaign.
We're pushing the franchise further than it's ever gone in terms of visuals, storytelling, presentation and, of course, action sequences that will leave your jaw on the floor, all while maintaining SOCOM's classic tactical focus.
With all that in mind, we wanted to round out the experience with a stellar soundtrack, one that would help define the franchise's next big release. We're very excited to announce that the score is being handled by none other than Bear McCreary, who is best known for his critically-acclaimed work on Battlestar Galactica.
No stranger to blending genres of music, Bear's work on the soundtrack is largely influenced by Asian instrumentation, which corresponds to the Southeast Asia setting of SOCOM 4. Making use of ethnic soloists and gamelan...
192w ago - Today Associate Producer Randall Lowe of SCEA Santa Monica Studio has revealed that the Flower PS3 Soundtrack is coming to PSN this week.
To quote: I'm excited to be back to talk more about the Flower soundtrack originally teased on February 12, the one-year anniversary of the game's release.
The soundtrack will be coming out this Thursday on PSN, and features eight tracks from the game and over an hour's worth of music, all for $2.99. So be sure to pick it up when it comes out. I also have a very special treat for you.
I spoke with Vincent Diamante, the award-winning music composer and audio designer behind Flower's wonderful soundtrack, and he graciously agreed to putting together some thoughts on creating the soundtrack. Enjoy!
Looking back, a year-plus removed from working on Flower, it's hard for me to remember anything but wonderful times with Sony and thatgamecompany. Then I think a bit harder and remember: the fights.
Not fights amongst us developers, no. Besides, that comes part and parcel in the process of game development. Rather, the fights happened within the music. All-out brawls between themes, lines, instruments, harmonies as the music struggled to find...

197w ago - European Product Manager Alex Pavey has unveiled a Heavy Rain PS3 Special Edition today, alongside DLC news and also confirmation that (due to a technical issue) the European soundtrack will be delayed.
To quote: Launch week is here, and some of you will already have your hands on the fantastic Heavy Rain!
I know that many of you have ordered the Special Edition, which contains a voucher code to download three pieces of additional content: Chronicles episode 1, the additional playable scene; a Dynamic XMB Theme; and the Official Heavy Rain Soundtrack.
I'm sorry to say that there has been a last-minute technical delay with the Official Soundtrack, meaning that if you redeem your voucher code before 4th March, you will be able to download Chronicle 1 and the Dynamic Theme, but not the Official Soundtrack.
If you redeem your Special Edition voucher after 4th March, you will receive all three pieces of content as normal - and if you can stand to wait a week to start downloading additional content, that will be the easiest approach.
If you have already redeemed your voucher code and have not received the Official Soundtrack, please contact your local customer service teams who will be able to help you. Apologies for the inconvenience, everyone.
