2w ago - Guerrilla Cambridge Senior Producer Mark Green shared details on new Killzone Mercenary PS Vita updates today alongside some free multiplayer maps below.
To quote: Hi Everyone. Amongst all the excitement for the launch of PS4 and, of course, Killzone Shadowfall, here at Guerrilla Cambridge we've still been busily working away on Killzone Mercenary. We're now very pleased to announce that there will be a number of updates coming over the next few months.
First up is Update 3. In terms of functionality there will only be minimal changes, but this is the patch that reduces the size of the other patches! After installing this patch it will free up around 800MB of space for those who have already installed Updates 1 & 2. Update 3 should be ready in the next few weeks.
Update 4 is due in January and is being designed to improve Matching and to help reduce join-game connectivity problems, as well as adding an auto team-rebalancing feature.
Following that is the big one: Update 5. Two new multiplayer maps for FREE, and the release of offline Botzone for Mercenary and Guerrilla Warfare modes.
Also in the first few months of 2014 will be Update 6, in which we're working towards continued refinements and adding support for playing Killzone Mercenary on Vita TV (only applicable...
2w ago - XSeed Localization Specialist Tom Lipschultz announced today that Ys: Memories of Celceta is out today for PS Vita.
To quote: It's here! Ys: Memories of Celceta, the latest installment in Nihon Falcom's storied Ys series, is out today for PS Vita. It's $39.99 for the digital or physical standard edition, and $59.99 for the swanky Silver Anniversary Edition.
The Silver Edition comes with a 130-page "Travel Journal" full of art, maps, and strategies, a cloth map depicting the lands of Celceta, a three CD compilation of original and arranged music, and a logo-emblazoned compass.
Last time on the blog, I spoke of Celceta's myriad features, its basic premise, and the history of the many games called "Ys IV," but one question I kept hearing was, "Is this a good place to start if I've never played an Ys game before?"
And while I did my best to reassure you all that you'll be just fine starting your adventure here in Celceta, I thought it might be prudent to go into a little more detail on what the series is, how it's changed over the years, and just how accessible its games really are.
So... let's start at the beginning, shall we?
The Ys series debuted in 1987 on various Japanese computer systems, and was an instant hit due to its fast-paced action, its...

3w ago - Today Japanese PlayStation Vita hackers 173210 and Nakkan0835 shared pictures and a demo video of a hacked PS Vita TV running TotalNoob's upcoming TN-v4 VHBL exploit on PlayStation Vita TV below.
From the video's caption: This video shows 173210's VHBL is working on PS Vita TV. The savedata directory name is fake. Don't worry
To quote: (Pictures) emulators running on the Vita TV, make the device exciting again
If you have read my Vita TV review (and if you haven't, do it now!), you know I have been hugely disappointed by the device so far, mostly because of the poor level of its game compatibility and services offer.
Mathieulh, of ps3 and psp hacking fame (remember pandora batteries?), happens to both be a beta tester of TotalNoob's upcoming TN-v4, and to own one of the Japan-only Vita TVs. He was successfully able to run TN-V on his vita TV, now making the device much more interesting to my eyes.
