PS Vita Magic Reader Script Out, PUP / SFO / PSF Support Incoming

142w ago - Today PlayStation Vita developer PsDev has made available a PS Vita Magic Reader script for those interested and noted that PUP, SFO and PSF support are also currently in the works.

To quote from his blog (linked above): Made this script in about 10 min. It extracts the Magic ASCII, PUP Version and License.xml from a VITA PUP here is the script.

Right now the script is stupid and doesn’t do much, I plan on adding a full PUP dump and a SFO/PSF dumper.

142w ago - Shortly following wololo's public disclosure of the Everybody's Tennis vulnerability for PSP on PlayStation Vita, developer SiLENTGame has released PS Vita Homebrew Preparer version 0.1 with details below followed by a bugfix update.

To quote: The preparing process to run the games with VHBL is a bit annoying so I decided to code a little tool which will do this task for you or rather a big part of this task.

It decompress the PSP homebrew game for you and compress it again with some saves included...

To quote: Christmas is really early this year, as Drakon, creator of the famous PSP homebrew Lamecraft, just posted an update of his game to make it compatible with the Vita.

Of course this requires you to run VHBL, but since we just released a new version of our homebrew loading tool, hopefully you are one of those who can enjoy it.

Finally, from Drakon: I made small update to LameCraft – now it’s working on PS Vita ( thanks Wololo for info ). I have also fixed some strange bugs with texture packs.

SKFU's Vita Pr0xy Beta Installer Homebrew App for PS Vita Arrives

143w ago - Following up on his recent PSN Infinity v2 PC PSN Client, today PlayStation Vita developer SKFU has released what he calls SKFU's Vita Pr0xy Beta for use with Sony's PlayStation Vita console followed by an update below.

144w ago - Following up on his initial release, today PlayStation Vita developer Phexe has updated his PS Vita homebrew utility PSVeeter to version 0.2 Beta with the changes outlined below.

To quote: New in 0.2b:

  • MONO Compatible!! - Using Mono will allow Mac OSX users and Linux users to run PSVeeter!
  • To use in MacOSX or Linux simply install the MONO framework - go-mono.com/mono-downloads/download.html
    then run by either terminal 'mono PSVeeter.exe' or using the included shell script!
  • Overhauled Loading (Should be quicker)
  • Overhauled Deleting (Should work in 99% of cases now, unless Explorer has locked a directory)
  • Will not repeatedly ask for a directory everytime, it now stores the selected Directory (PSVeeter.ini). This prevents MacOSX and Linux users from going insane
  • Added in support for newer SFO Files (Should recognise more...
