PowerMad Review of Ghostbusters: The Video Game for PS3

400°
268w ago - Ah... My childhood memories are coming back to me. This is Ghostbusters: The video game available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox
360, PC, Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, Sega Genesis, Sega Mega Drive, Nintendo Entertainment System, Atari 2600, and... we will just say it's available for almost every gaming console ever made.

The version I am reviewing is for the PlayStation 3, and it was made by Atari. However, I heard that Activision made the one for the Atari 2600, both Sega Consoles and two of the Nintendo consoles.

It's quite odd how Atari didn't make the game for their own console, (a port later maybe?) and it's a shame since this version is at least 900 times better than the versions Activision made.

But in all seriousness I actually had a pretty good time on this game, I have to start off by saying Atari has made the perfect Ghostbusters game port.

Not that it is a perfect game, by no means is it that. But what I mean is it comes so close the the original film this hits the nail on the head.

Lets start off with the story. Now I said in the video I can explain it to you, but until you experience it for yourself you won't understand.

Gozer (the god...

PowerMad Review of inFAMOUS for the PlayStation 3

400°
270w ago - inFAMOUS is 1 of 3 triple A titles that are coming out this summer, the other 2 titles being Red Faction Guerrilla and Prototype.

People are really wondering if this underdog is really as good as it claims to be. The truth is inFAMOUS is better then I had expected, but it still let me down in certain areas. Although these areas are the same thing every other sandbox game (Besides GTA) does wrong.

Let me start off by saying I love the way inFAMOUS tells it's story. Using wonderful comic book style cutscenes, it truly does a well job on explaining how the city has gone to shit and the place is being quarantined in just 14 days... didn't make sense to me either but I'm not one to complain.

Along the way you must make choices like "Do I feed these people or take the food for myself and let them starve?"

Depending on your choice your karama will go up or down. Most of the choices are obvious as to which is good and which is bad, but there is one I can think of where you have to chose to blow up something putting waste into the water. If you're not careful you will end up doing the evil action.

All in all it works out pretty well. When you're bad you are wicked, and when you are good your a saint,...

PowerMad Review of Killzone 2 Exclusively for the PlayStation 3

400°
282w ago - Now that I don't have a 13-minute limit of a video I can fully explain how great Killzone 2 is. The graphics to Killzone 2 are amazing to say the very least.

Graphics/Environment/Audio

Right away you are dropped off at a area that has some of the best water physics and visuals I have ever personally seen.

This is coming from a man who has played Crysis on a full 1080P monitor with the graphics all the way up. As well as Metal Gear Solid 4 in the same way.

You can search high and low but will never find a game at this current time that looks better than Killzone 2.

The textures and environment just set the mood. You will almost never get bored of just walking around looking at the world around you.

The physics are near perfect. The way the Helghast look as you shoot them with your assault rifle is perfect they move just the way you would expect them to.

There was also a lot of care put into the audio of this game. What more can you say? If it sounds like a explosion when it's a explosion it's good.

So full Circle this game will make all your senses happy. From the great visuals,...

PowerMad Review of Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3

400°
283w ago - This is Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, and if you're a casual or retro gamer you need to go pick this one up.

Instead of trying to make great graphics and releasing a entirely new game which no one is going to remember. Sega decided to put over 40 of the games from their most popular console.

You get a few arcade titles and some videos about the makings of SUGC. But besides that nothing is really new.

The game has trophies/achievements, and is a great addition to any gamers. If you grew up with a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, and want a few nostalgic moments, This is a game for you.

Since the PS3 controller has nearly over trice the buttons as the Sega genesis controller. You can actually program the controller to what buttons you want it to be.

Although I liked almost all the games on this disc, Like goldenaxe and Sonic the hedgehog. A few games like Flicky make the game worse amazingly. The best way I can explain it is if I offered to give to a milkshake, but I spit in it before hand. That would make the milkshake not as good even though I gave you more.

I really don't have much more to say about this game. It's meant to appeal to a certain type of gamer so...
