132w ago - Straight from Irrational Games Creative Director Ken Levine via E3 2011 comes news that BioShock Infinite will support PlayStation Move alongside a PS Vita game in the works.
To quote: Let me dish out some home truths here. The BioShock universe hasn't always treated the PlayStation community super well. The first game came out on PS3 over a year after launch on other platforms. To Sony fans, that probably read as, "Hey, what are we? Chopped liver?"
Irrational Games came to the press conference to say Sony fans are not chopped liver. How's them for bold words? They're fans who have embraced innovation. Who champion cool, weird stuff like Flower and LittleBigPlanet. Who seek out content from all over the globe.
But I'm also here to back our commitment up with action. Like Move integration. Like a new game set in the BioShock universe on PS Vita. Like a free copy of BioShock 1 with each copy of BioShock Infinite on PS3 to ensure that everyone in the PlayStation world gets a chance to see how the whole BioShock magilla began.
I know I didn't give a ton of details today about the Move stuff and the new game on PS Vita. That's because we're still...
139w ago - Producer Jean Claude has announced that Dungeon Hunter: Alliance officially hits PSN today and includes PlayStation Move support too!
To quote: Hard to believe it's almost been a year since we unveiled Dungeon Hunter: Alliance at E3, but the wait is finally over. Today, the game is available for download on the PlayStation Network!
In all honesty, we might have been able to release it sooner, but we really wanted to make sure this was a polished game, not just a run-of-the-mill hack 'n slash.
While the storyline is based on the original Dungeon Hunter, we wanted to re-imagine everything else for Alliance. So we rebuilt our game systems, graphics and engine from the ground up for the PlayStation 3.
Balance of Power
Just getting the classes balanced to the point we felt every player will be happy filling in a unique role for their party required extensive playtesting. To this end, we included some great abilities to unlock as your character progresses. Each class has a total of seven ability tiers and players unlock a new tier every few levels, so there's always something to look forward to just around the corner.
You're going to need all those powers, as monsters in co-op are noticeably...
156w ago - Today Gameloft Social Media Editor Jen Kye has officially confirmed PlayStation Move Support for Modern Combat: Domination on PSN as part of a Q&A session with the video game's Producer.
To quote: Producer Arnaud wanted to share a few thoughts on Modern Combat: Domination before its debut this January.
So... what exactly is the title about? Boiled down, it's immersion in a modern war experience with one of the most complete FPS multiplayer games on PSN. Throw in PlayStation Move compatibility and you can look forward to a comprehensive shooter experience.
FPS fans can expect maps featuring Middle Eastern and Western metropolitan cities, as well as high-resolution graphics and an extensive use of physics creating impressive game environments. Read on for our interview regarding our upcoming PSN title: Modern Combat: Domination.
Jennifer Kye: With the Modern Combat series always offering an immersive experience, how did the development team work to offer greater depth to the gameplay?
Arnaud: We focused purely on the multiplayer experience. We worked on the different game modes, the level design of tactical maps, the core weapons to offer both variety and good balance, and the unlocks / ranks for an addictive progression.
159w ago - Ronimo Games Co-Founder Jasper Koning has posted up a video today announcing that Swords & Soldiers on PSN has added PlayStation Move support!
To quote: Just a few weeks ago, we released Swords & Soldiers for the PlayStation Network, and the response has been overwhelming!
The strategic action gameplay is being enjoyed by lots of gamers, offline as well as online. With 3 unique factions, 30 levels of gameplay, customizable skirmishes, 3 highscore arcade challenges and local and online multiplayer modes, there's lots of game to enjoy.
Now there's a whole new way to enjoy Swords & Soldiers... because we've added PlayStation Move support in our latest patch! Just connect a PlayStation Move to your PlayStation 3 and you will be able to navigate the menus and gameplay using the Move's cursor function.
You can also mix control schemes on a single PS3 as well as face off against people online with different control schemes. So far we have been unable to find any advantage for one over the other, but if you find any, let us know!
Speaking of balance, we've also done a few small tweaks to the balance between the three factions. Most importantly, we've made the Vikings slightly stronger in the endgame and the...
168w ago - Team RamRod's Brandon Akiaten has confirmed that High Velocity Bowling for PS3 ships today on Blu-ray with PlayStation Move support.
To quote: Over the last few years, lots of High Velocity Bowling add-on DLC has been released and we've collected all the content in one convenient Blu-ray Disc package, including over 20 unique characters and themed alleys, trick shot packs, and other fun content.
In addition, the game also supports stereoscopic 3D and PlayStation Move functionality included on the disc to really simulate a genuine bowling swing. The game's a blast to play and lets up to four friends play offline, or go head-to-head online to see who the better bowler is.
If you already own the original High Velocity Bowling game on PSN, you can get the PlayStation Move add-on functionality for free if you are a PlayStation Plus member. If you aren't a member of PlayStation Plus, don't worry: the PlayStation Move add-on is planned to be released in the near future.
