11w ago - Sony Senior Producer Florence Kum shared a new PlayStation 3 trailer video today on the world of Rain on PS3 with details below.
To quote: Hello everyone. Can you remember back in the days when you had time to just sit and dream? Sit and listen to the sound of raindrops against your window, or even watch it form patterns against the outside world?
Rain is the story of an invisible world revealed by falling rain, and the lost creatures that come alive when the clouds roll in. This unique game casts you as a little boy who finds himself lost.
He saw a little girl's silhouette outside in the downpour, but when he went out to find her, he became invisible like her. Now, he must make his way through this world, and since players can only see the character when rain falls on him.
We're pleased to reveal a concept video we have been working on which brings the game to life, playing with your imagination and emotions. Let us know your thoughts!
Also, please don't forget the exclusive pre-order goodies we have lined up for you. This is now up and live on PlayStation Store until 1st...
12w ago - Honeyslug Designer & Co-Founder Ricky Haggett introduced Hohokum on PS4 today, complete with a new PlayStation 4 trailer of the Guano Factory below.
To quote: We're really excited to unveil a new place in Hohokum today - the Guano Factory - with a new teaser trailer made by Scott Benson, and backed by one of our favorite Matthew Dear songs: Temptation.
Matthew Dear is a founding artist of Ghostly International, and is also a DJ, dance-music producer, and an experimental pop artist. The Temptation track is off his latest album, Beams - a suite of weird, wild, and optimistic rhythm-driven pop. The perfect type of music for Hohokum.
In our first trailer, we glimpsed lots of places in Hohokum, and showed some gameplay, but this time around we wanted to try something different: focusing right down on a single part of the game - and the characters and action that happens there - and making something that feels more like a music video than a gameplay trailer.
Not every place in Hohokum is a peaceful place. For example, this factory is a noisy, dirty place, full of pipes and strange machines and bad smells. What are they doing here? What is that gloopy yellow stuff? What are they making with it? We'll...
13w ago - Sony Worldwide Studios Art Director Gavin Moore announced that Puppeteer for PS3 is officially out today alongside a PlayStation 3 launch trailer below.
To quote: Hi everyone. At last, after more than three years of hard work, we finally get to launch Puppeteer today for PS3.
It's a true labor of love, and we can't wait to see what you all think of it. Take a look at the launch trailer for a taste of what's to come.
When I started with Puppeteer, the idea was to take a lot of inspiration from Japanese culture and mash it up into a crazy game. I really like that old look, but I'm glad we decided, as a team, to move the art direction to where we are now.
Mixing both Western and Japanese influences and moving more towards a darker, grimmer fairy tale. Besides, it would have been hard to be as creative and crazy with the characters and the world if we had stuck to the original look.
Looking back over the three and a half years of production, Puppeteer has been a lot of fun to make. Half of me is glad that we finally finished, but the other half feels a little sorrow because I won't be able to direct Kutaro on his crazy adventures anymore.
16w ago - Sony Producer Daniel Brooke has made available a new PS4 trailer from Gamescom 2013 showcasing Knack on PlayStation 4 for fans below!
To quote: Hi, we're pleased to present the new Gamescom trailer for Knack. It's action-packed and reveals some exciting hints to the game's story, as well as including some new characters you won't have seen before - make sure you give it a look!
The hard-working team at Japan Studio has been creating a new demo specifically for Gamescom, as this will be the first time Knack has been playable at a consumer show. If you're going to Gamescom this week, please head over to the SCEE booth and check the game out!
The new demo includes platforming gameplay, as well as a level extract which has Knack absorbing wooden parts (and catching fire) as seen in the trailer. This gives you only a few minutes before your new parts burn away, so you have to keep battling and moving quickly to grab new parts before you shrink down in size.
Also, Mark Cerny will be at Gamescom talking about a great, newly-introduced additional feature to Knack. Japan Studio wanted to add something extra to the experience, and are currently working on a two-player "drop-in" co-op mode!
16w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Nik Schmidt shared a brand new Watch_Dogs PS4 / PlayStation 4 trailer video today at Gamescom 2013 below!
To quote: Hey guys! Couldn't make it to Gamescom? No worries, we've got you covered. Here's the trailer that was recently shown at Sony's conference. It introduces a rather intriguing group.
We already knew that even though Aiden was kind of a lone wolf, he wasn't always acting alone. He had some help. But in this latest piece, we're realizing that he might be facing more resistance than he had initially planned.
DedSec, an unorthodox group of "hacktivists" very active in Watch_Dogs' Chicago, doesn't seem to approve of Aiden's actions - even though in a way he's helping them uncover the many flaws of ctOS.
Therefore, they seem committed to exposing him and denouncing his actions to the population. And much like Aiden, DedSec appears to have plenty of resources, making him even more vulnerable.
So what's Aiden's real connection with them? Are they friend or foe? On top of dealing with his own problems and the occasional police chase, will he have to watch his back for DedSec members? I, for one, have trouble believing him when he says he's not in any trouble.
