62w ago - Quantic Dream Director David Cage posted up some videos today showcasing Beyond: Two Souls PlayStation 3 Gameplay from E3 2013 below.

To quote: Hi PlayStation gamers, So far this year, we've put a lot of focus on BEYOND: Two Souls' cinematic presentation and powerfully emotional storytelling - we've revealed [Register or Login to view links] as Ellen Page's co-star, debuted a beautifully cinematic [Register or Login to view links], and even revealed a [Register or Login to view links] from the game at Tribeca Film Festival to show you just how groundbreaking BEYOND: Two Souls aims to be.

The "Interactive Drama" genre is a bit of a unique concept though, and one of the consistent questions we've received from those of you who missed out on experiencing Heavy Rain is: "BEYOND looks like it has a fantastic story, but how does it play?!"

During yesterday's press conference, we debuted our E3 trailer.

Today, I stepped up on the stage in our E3 booth to give a guided walkthrough of a portion of the Somalia scene to carefully illustrate these gameplay mechanics in action. We've created a short video to...

Video: The Invisible World of Rain - New PlayStation 3 Gameplay

200°
73w ago - Sony Associate Producer Dais Kawaguchi is here with some fresh video footage on the invisible world of Rain featuring new PlayStation 3 gameplay.

To quote: Hi everyone! It's been a while since we made the announcement of rain at Gamescom, but ever since then, we have been working hard to ensure the wait for more information was worthwhile.

rain was developed by the creative minds from PlayStation C.A.M.P!, the team behind unique titles like TOKYO JUNGLE and echochrome. Rain evolved from a truly unique concept where an imaginative world comes to life once is starts raining.

The story of rain is the enchanting tale about a boy who chases after a girl with an invisible silhouette. After discovering that the girl is being hunted by ghostly creatures, he embarks on his own journey into the mysterious world of rain to save her and discovers he has also become invisible.

Players will play as the boy, whose silhouette can only be seen in the rain. Using the unique ability to appear and disappear under cover players must learn to navigate through the unknown to advance. Just like in the real world, what can be seen isn't everything and using imagination is the only way to reveal the truth.

Video: Dyad for PlayStation Network: Music and Gameplay Fusion

155w ago - Dyad Creator Shawn McGrath has shared some video footage spotlighting the music and gameplay fusion in Dyad for PlayStation Network today.

To quote: Shawn here again, and I brought along [Register or Login to view links]'s composer, David Kanaga.

We're going to talk a bit about Dyad's interactive music system, how it works and what makes it unique. We're also treating you to a free three-song EP consisting of linear mixes of Dyad's interactive music and some new screenshots!

Below is a new gameplay video showcasing one of the later levels in Dyad. Don't worry if it looks too complex! It'll make perfect sense once you've completed the earlier levels.

When you hear the term "interactive music" you might think of "rhythm games" such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Frequency, or others of that nature. Dyad's music system is very different from those games. There's no beat matching or imposed rhythm in the game.

The music doesn't dictate play, nor does it judge you. Dyad's music is reactive, meaning it's mixed dynamically on the fly, based on the current game state and how you're interacting with it. Each time you play a level, the music is different – playing Dyad can...

"We have more than 11 minutes of Killzone 3 BETA gameplay and we are at a loss of words on how to describe it... simply put, it's AWESOME!

The footage shows you wrecking havoc upon your enemies and is a sheer delight to watch.

Killzone 3 releases in Febuary 2011, exclusive to the PS3."

[Register or Login to view links] did comment on some bugs in the KZ3 PS3 Beta though, to quote:

"Since it's a BETA, some bugs have made their presence felt as well. Drop in framerates being a major one, stuff like unable to walk up stairs (0.25), enemies running through you while you try and melee them (1.00) and delay in killing enemies (final few seconds)."
