Killer is Dead: New PlayStation 3 DLC Images Revealed

50°
49w ago - XSEED Games Production Assistant Brittany Avery revealed today new Killer is Dead PlayStation 3 DLC images with details below.

To quote: There's no better outfit for executioner Monda Zappa than a suit and tie. But that doesn't mean his companions can't enjoy a few new outfits in the meantime...

Killer is Dead, the latest endeavor from legendary game creator SUDA51, will initially ship with the Smooth Operator DLC pack, which provides players with additional content right at launch.

The pack includes tantalizing alternate costumes for Vivienne and Mika, as well as a bonus pair of in-game glasses that can help Mondo with the ladies - though he doesn't need that much help.

The Smooth Operator pack also features a full-length, special bonus mission - aptly named "Episode 51″ - with a brand new target to execute, and the introduction of the high-class Betty.

This episode will revolve around the enigmatic and vampiric Sebastian, whose sophisticated tastes are only rivaled by his high sense of style.

Launch copies of Killer is Dead will additionally be packaged with an 80-page, hardcover art book, and a soundtrack containing 25 songs. Killer is Dead launches on August 27th.

Bring your sword... you'll need it.

59w ago - Sony Producer Kumi Yuasa announced today that more free Soul Sacrifice PlayStation Vita DLC is coming Tuesday to fans with details below.

To quote: I hope you've been enjoying Soul Sacrifice and the free DLC we released last week.

If you haven't downloaded said content yet, please make sure to update your game to version 1.10 from LiveArea and then visit PlayStation Store to download unlock keys for free!

Otherwise, you'll be missing out on new quests, a new map (Caverns of Goliath), a new Black Rite (Berserker), and new functionality (like posting play stats on Twitter or Facebook).

Today, we're announcing that there will be eight more quests and two new boss characters - "Dwarf" and "Ogre" - added on June 11th! Be sure to download the free unlock key on that day.

To play the new quests, go to Mad Chronicle > Inside Avalon > Avalon Pacts > Forgotten Pact > Hour of Harlequin. Game progress to a certain point may be required.

60w ago - Sony Producer Kumi Yuasa announced that Free Soul Sacrifice DLC launches on PlayStation Vita this week.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello everyone! I hope you've been enjoying [Register or Login to view links].

Tomorrow we're releasing the first major update for Soul Sacrifice. Everything will be free, so don't forget to update your game to version 1.10 from LiveArea and then visit PlayStation Store to download unlock keys for free!

New quests

Eight new quests will be added upon using the unlock key. To play the quests, go to Mad Chronicle > Inside Avalon > Avalon Pacts > Forgotten Pact > Hour of Amber (game progress required).

In these new quests, you will see two new boss characters called Dullahan and Behemoth and a new map called Caverns of Goliath.

About Dullahan

There was once a knight whose name was known the world over... But it was not his abilities that had made him famous. Indeed, he was viewed with curiosity, not respect. Many thought him downright unsettling; it was the way in which he did battle.

While most warriors took pleasure in striking their enemies and avoiding their blows, this knight was the exact...

Thomas Was Alone: Out Today on PS3 and PS Vita With DLC

50°
65w ago - Designer Mike Bithell announced today that Thomas Was Alone is officially released today on PS3 and PS Vita complete with DLC.

To quote: It's done. A game which began as a Flash game made over a weekend because my girlfriend was away and I was a bit bored, is today coming out on PS3 and PS Vita via PSN and PS+.

That last sentence was a bit of a mouthful. I apologize.

Thomas Was Alone is a game about friendship and jumping. As you can see from the images and videos no doubt littered amongst this post, it is also very much about rectangles.

If you've got PlayStation Plus and you're in the US, you'll get 20% off the game for a limited time, because of the Spring Fever sale. Which is awesome. Daffodils rock.

This version will also give you first access to some new stuff. There's a new DLC episode which tells the story of Benjamin, a new square with a jetpack and big ideas, and a commentary mode in the main game where you can listen to me going on and on about how clever I was putting the game together.

It's spellbinding. I'm listening to it as I write this, because I'm on a train and it's either that or Bowie's new album, which I've listened to twice. You should really listen to Bowie's album too. I'm not here to plug that...
