111w ago - FarSight Studios Lead Designer Bobby King is here with a new video featuring Elvira in The Pinball Arcade which hits PSN tomorrow.

To quote: Happy Halloween week guys and gals - we've got a special treat for you all! In our on-going quest to re-create as many of the best pinball tables of all time, we were able to get the licenses needed from Bally and the Mistress of the Dark herself, [Register or Login to view links]!

This means Elvira and the Party Monsters will be released in Table Pack 6 tomorrow, and Scared Stiff will be released before too long in Table Pack 7.

Elvira has been super cool to work with. She invited us to part of her Macabre Museum at [Register or Login to view links] last month.

We got to show off the Party Monsters table right along with a real machine. Some of the guys here on the pinball team got to meet her, and she even came over and played our game for a while. She's actually pretty good at pinball!

This is also pretty cool - [Register or Login to view links] just gave us the nod for two of their [Register or Login to view links]

Corpse Party: Book of Shadows on PSP This Winter, Sale Tomorrow

100°
112w ago - XSeed Localization Specialist Tom Lipschultz has announced today that Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is coming this Winter alongside a sale on PSN tomorrow.

To quote: Corpse Party on PSP. What more can you say about it? In my previous PlayStation.Blog entries, I've likened it to horror classics such as Clock Tower and Fatal Frame.

I've talked about how it's one of the creepiest, most effective horror games I've ever played, and how its unique visuals, its 3D binaural audio and its storytelling methods help give it an uncomfortable, unforgettable atmosphere. And you, fair players... you agreed with me.

You played it late at night with headphones on, just as I suggested, and it kept you awake. It haunted your nightmares and made you jump every time your house creaked or your neighbor's kids smacked the wall... until you realized, wait a minute, I don't have any neighbors!

And then you were never heard from again...Presumably because you were too busy getting every wrong end in the game, of course. It's hard to resist the charm of those horrible, horrible deaths, after all! Call it morbid curiosity if you will, but we all know you, like Morishige, get a certain sadistic thrill out of seeing (or, more often, hearing) these characters you've come to know and love get killed,...

Video: Lights, Camera, Party! PlayStation Move DLC is Out Today

113w ago - Frima Studio Executive Producer Martin Brouard has confirmed alongside a video trailer that Lights, Camera, Party PlayStation Move DLC is out today!

To quote: Lights, Camera, Party! fans: Today we are launching new DLC called The Good, the Bad and the Monkey! The DLC pack contains 10 new minigames as well as a new game mode called The Duel.

Six additional trophies and 40 additional in-game awards are also part of the package. You do not want to miss this opportunity to PARTY ON!

Duel mode lets you play six rounds of mini games head to head against another player in order to defeat your opponent and win a classic high noon showdown. Of course all 60 LCP minigames can show up in the Duel.

The team has decided to give an interesting twist to this DLC by focusing on exploiting the most challenging and entertaining gestures with the PlayStation Move.

The themes of the new minigames are as silly as ever, and include:

• Eating corn on a cob (as a monkey!)
• Shaking the hell out of a banana-shooting coconut tree
• Stopping a rampaging Funzaur using a laser-beaming satellite
• Keeping Ape TV's studio afloat by fixing its monkey-busted monitors
• Assembling...

Video: Lights, Camera, Party! Arrives on PlayStation Network Today

50°
120w ago - Frima Studio Executive Producer Martin Brouard has announced today alongside a launch trailer video that Lights, Camera, Party arrives on PlayStation Network today.

To quote: After years in development, release day is finally upon us! We're proud to share Lights, Camera, Party! with the PlayStation world via PSN later today.

We made this game to provide quality entertainment for everyone in the household and to showcase fun and innovative uses of the PlayStation Move motion controller. We've put our heart and soul into this collection of wacky mini-games and hope they make you laugh and have as good of a time as we had making them.

To celebrate the launch of Lights, Camera, Party! we decided to shoot a humorous live-action trailer that spoofs the usual party game ads and conveys the silly and chaotic nature of our game.

I'm really proud of our team's work on the Lights, Camera, Party!, and I wanted to give a few members of the team a chance to talk about their favorite mini-games. Enjoy!

Michael Dube, Lead Programmer:

Feed the Monster: Because cooking a pizza over an active volcano has been a lifelong dream! The game is simple and the feedback is really rewarding...

Video: Lights, Camera, Party PlayStation Move Fun Hits August 28th

50°
124w ago - Frima Studio Executive Producer Martin Brouard has announced today alongside a video trailer that Lights, Camera, Party will be delivering PlayStation Move fun on August 28th.

To quote: Last year, my team at Frima Studio set out to create the ultimate PlayStation Move party game and in just a few weeks the whole world can enjoy the fruit of our labor on PSN.

Lights, Camera, Party! embodies everything we think a party game should be; fast-paced, funny, quick to set up, social and full of a variety of mini-games, challenges and Trophies for a fresh experience each time you play.

With only one Move controller required to play, it keeps the whole family on their feet and frantically passing the controller between fits of laughter.

You and your friends will step into the shoes of the Funzinis, a family forced to compete in an array of wild game shows to win a new home after the TV station's satellite crash lands in their living room.

In the primary Story mode, up to four players guide the Funzini family through five rounds, each modeled after a type of TV show (Cooking, News, Sci-Fi, and so on) that contain up to 24 fast-paced mini games.

Other modes support up to eight players...
