Persona 5 and More Confirmed for PlayStation 3 in North America

35w ago - Atlus PR Manager John Hardin confirmed Persona 5 and more titles are coming for PlayStation 3 in North America with details below.

To quote: I've gotten your emails, your tear-stained letters, your carrier pigeons, and the erstwhile smoke signal. We've read them, and we - finally - can fully and officially reply to them with the best kind of confirmation ever: ATLUS is bringing three new Persona games to the PlayStation family starting in fall of 2014.

"But John," you'll ask, "what are these new Persona games of which you speak?" Well, I'm glad you asked that, illusory writing device! Let's just cut right to the quick. Persona 5 is coming. In 2015. And will be the first Persona RPG developed for the PlayStation 3 system.

That's about all we know about the game, because the plot, characters, and everything about it is being kept under wraps. The one thing we do know is that series director Katsura Hashino hinted that the storyline will be about throwing off the chains of oppression to find one's true self. But how that theme is addressed in Persona 5? We have no idea.

Next up, we have the sequel to Persona 4 Arena ญญ- the hit fighting game for PS3. The number "2″ isn't powerful enough for all the awesome new content in this game, so we're calling it Persona 4 Arena...

37w ago - Sony Associate Producer Michael Pulst confirmed alongside a video trailer today that Murasaki Baby for PlayStation Vita is coming to North America.

Below are the details, to quote: HI there everyone!

Last summer at Gamescom we debuted the new, exclusive PS Vita game Murasaki Baby, from new Italian indie development team Ovosonico, and announced that it was coming to European markets this year. Today, we're excited to share that it's officially coming to North America later this year too!

In the game, Baby wakes up in a dream world, envisioned by a child's fantastical imagination and populated by weird and wonderful characters.

In her hand is a purple heart-shaped balloon. She has lost her mommy, and it's the player's role to be her guardian. Take her hand, and guide her on a fantastic journey through the nightmarish land.

As you travel through the dream world, you will encounter many situations that will require lateral thinking to navigate. Using PS Vita's rear touch pad, you can switch the mood of the game from serene green fields to a scary hellish world. It's up to you to figure out how to use the tools at your disposal to keep Baby safe and navigate through the story.

37w ago - Sony Computer Entertainment America Associate Product Marketing Manager Derek Osgood announced today that Invizimals is coming to PS3 and PS Vita platforms in North America.

To quote: Hi PlayStation fans, we have some exciting news to share with you today! The popular creature hunting franchise, Invizimals, is returning to PlayStation this year in the Americas.

The franchise began as a series of innovative PSP titles in which players hunted down and battled elusive Invizimals using the PSP camera. Today, we're happy to confirm that Invizimals: The Alliance and Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom will be coming to PS Vita and PS3 (respectively) later this year.

Rumor: PS Vita Slim Set for Release in Europe and North America?

50°
39w ago - IGN reports that Sony has invited press to an exclusive breakfast briefing with PlayStation next Thursday, January 30th, where it is rumored that they will unveil a PS Vita Slim (or perhaps a PS Vita TV international release) for Europe and North American regions.

The invitation (below) reads, to quote: "You are invited to an exclusive breakfast briefing with PlayStation.

Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest.

When: Thursday 30th January 2014 | 09:00-11:00"

The PS Vita Slim is already available in Japan, and is 20 percent thinner than the existing model, as well as being 15 percent lighter.

It does away with the OLED screen for a 5-inch LCD display, which helps the battery to supposedly last up to an hour longer. The Japanese one is available in six different colors too, though we've yet to see if that's replicated in the west.

Of course the announcement could be about something else entirely, but the Vita Slim seems to be the sensible option, especially given the new appeal the handheld has thanks to the PS4's remote play functionality.

Having only just launched the PS4, it's exceedingly unlikely that Sony would announced a slim version of the console right now as they traditionally...
