To quote: We recently brought you news of our festival management and music discovery game BigFest, where players build their own mega festivals by discovering and promoting real-world, unsigned bands.

Well... we are very excited to announce that the game will also be coming free to play for both the PS4 and PS3!

For PS4, we are taking the Vita version and giving it the next gen makeover - full 1080p resolution, running at 60fps. The game will support Cross Save, so you will be able to play your game out and about on your PS Vita, then come home and carry on exactly where you left off on your PS3 or PS3.

The game itself will have hours of fun gameplay that will satisfy your music discovery and festival gaming needs. We want players to build the biggest, baddest music festivals they can possibly imagine, while discovering and promoting real musicians.

Discovering top talent and selecting the best headliners are just a couple of the important responsibilities players will manage to get the all-important festival 'vibe' up!!

27w ago - Supergiant Games Audio Director Darren Korb shared a glimpse behind the music and sounds of Transistor on PlayStation 4 below today.

To quote: Hey everybody! I'm Darren, the audio director at [Register or Login to view links] and composer for Transistor. I've been blown away by the amazing response the game and the music have been getting, and I thought I'd tell you a little bit about my approach to the game's music.

From our point of view as a team, audio is a really important part of creating an immersive, atmospheric experience, and everything I do as audio director is in service of that.

Supergiant is based in of San Francisco, but Logan Cunningham (our talented voice actor) and I are all the way in New York. Since we're a small team, we have to make do with whatever we can get our hands on when it comes to making games!

That's my apartment (and dog and baby) to the right. Just about all the sounds and music in [Register or Login to view links] were created here. The constraint of working out of my home studio, with only the resources available to me, is a big part of my creative process.

It means that all the music in the game is made up of some combination of recorded instrument parts that...

28w ago - Sony Associate Project Manager Nick Accordino invites PlayStation Vita fans to promote real music in BigFest on PS Vita in a video trailer below.

To quote: Revealed at Gamescom 2013 for PS Vita, BigFest is about building your own festival that will promote real, unsigned bands. Players will go on a journey with the bands with the goal of building their own thriving festival and becoming the most successful promoter in the world.

Do you have what it takes to discover the next big thing, and take them to the top of the charts?

Before you take a band to the top, you'll need to give them a platform, and that means building the best festival you can. Starting with a small stage in a field, it's up to the player to build their festival their way.

Choose the basics from shops and stalls to earn money and use that money to enhance your festival by installing the right speakers, lights and video screens, increasing the "vibe" as you go.

The levels themselves are run as Festival "Posters," with headliners and support acts. Some Posters will let you play whatever music you want while others will have specific needs to succeed. Visitors to a rock festival will have different needs to those at a dance...
