150w ago - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was released this past June for PSP, however, despite Kojima Productions previously ruling out a PS3 port Hideo Kojima hinted at just that in a recent interview with French video game news site JeuxVideo.
Conducted at Japan Expo, Hideo Kojima briefly commented on the possibility of porting Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker from the PSP to the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.
To quote: "I can not say I'll do a direct conversion of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Playstation 3.
However, this game was a challenge in terms of its development on the PSP for me and I probably will preserve the base of it. And if I had to port it to another console, I would add even more depth to the story."

153w ago - Today some fresh Metal Gear Solid: Rising gameplay footage is available from BME123ES via YouTube from Microsoft's E3 2010 media briefing to coincide with the official Web site launch.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising by Kojima Productions is currently in development for Sony's PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, and the Xbox 360 console.
The main character of the game is Raiden, the protagonist (and player character) of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, who appears in the cyborg ninja state he was in during the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
The second teaser depicted Raiden in his Metal Gear Solid 4 armor with sword drawn, crouching on the back of what appears to be Crying Wolf.

159w ago - The release date for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on PSP is a little over a month away, but the game may have a future beyond the PlayStation Portable.
According to GamePro's Ben PerLee, an interesting interlude took place during a recent Peace Walker Bootcamp, to quote:
"So after I had done the preview, [Konami] had a Q/A session with us to get our complaints/ideas about the game," PerLee reported.
"Other than the basics, they asked what we thought about if they released it on PSN for the PS3 as well and had online multiplayer."
While it's not uncommon for a developer to ask journalists these focus-group questions, it is interesting to note that the Konami representative asking the questions actually wrote down the answers.
It could just be that the developer wants to anticipate criticisms of the game in forthcoming reviews, or it could be research for Hideo Kojima's new mystery project. Or there could indeed be a PSN release for Peace Walker farther down the line.
162w ago - Sony's Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has posted up a new Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Field Guide trailer video today on the PlayStation Blog.
To quote: Since completing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots a whopping three times -- once for each difficulty setting! -- I've been positively fiending for a new Metal Gear fix.
Luckily, series mastermind Hideo Kojima has been busy cooking up a new chapter exclusively for the PSP, and this time, it's a story-centric adventure that picks up where Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater left off. And I got to play it!
Check out the new trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker below, and read on for more details and new screens.
That's right, the Bearded One himself -- Naked Snake, aka Solid Snake's pops -- returns to the lead role in Peace Walker. Set in 1974's Central America, in a war-weary time at the tail end of the Vietnam Conflict, Peace Walker will further explore the philosophical and political ramifications of war as commerce, as well as its longterm deleterious effects on society, the economy, and ourselves.
But don't worry. You'll still be able to blow stuff up real good, too.
