To quote: Earlier this year, we cut some cake and popped some champagne to celebrate Media Molecule's sixth birthday!
We've had an awesome time during the last six years, seeing how the experiment we started here in Guildford has grown, giving rise to a thriving LittleBigPlanet community. This year will be no different, filled with DLC, plus new experiments from the LBP family for you to play with.
You already know about the fantastic LBP work that Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven Studios are doing on LittleBigPlanet for PS Vita, and now we are delighted to announce today a new LBP collaboration with the hugely talented team at United Front Games who will be leading a new project called LittleBigPlanet Karting!

172w ago - SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has shared a LittleBigPlanet 2 PS3 video interview from GamesCom 2010 today with Alex Evans of Media Molecule.
To quote: Gamescom 2010 is over but our coverage on the PlayStation Blog is still in full swing. I managed to capture several interviews that there simply wasn't time to publish last week so we'll be spreading them throughout this week, starting with Media Molecule's Alex Evans, talking about the highly anticipated LittleBigPlanet 2.
Just when I thought MM had spilled all the beans on the sequel to one of the most lovable games on PlayStation 3, Alex hit me with a bunch of details I had no idea about, including an outline of the story and an incredible new music generator.
I really enjoy seeing how people went about creating tunes on the original LBP and the idea of this being expanded, with the possibility of it becoming a huge collaborative music project, just blows my mind.
More videos to come later in the week, with MotorStorm Apocalypse coming same time tomorrow.
182w ago - Sony's Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a LittleBigPlanet 2 PS3 interview today with James Gallagher and Media Molecule's Alex Evans and Mark Healey.
To quote: With well over 2 million user-created levels playable in LittleBigPlanet, it's safe to say that Media Molecule knows what makes the gaming community tick.
Recently, the Molecules did something else that proved pretty popular: they opened their doors to the top creators in that community, giving them a chance to spend a day trying out LittleBigPlanet 2's powerful creation tools.
Our intrepid European counterpart, James Gallagher, was on hand in Guildford, England for the event, and interviewed MM's Alex Evans and Mark Healey - presented now for your viewing pleasure.
It's sunny! Are you sure you shot this in England, James?
186w ago - Today Sony's Content Producer Barry Keating has spotlighted Media Molecule unveiling LittleBigPlanet 2 for PS3 at a recent event in London to gaming journalists.
To quote: Two million levels designed by you, the PlayStation community, and still counting; those were the numbers tossed around at the outset of the spectacular LittleBigPlanet 2 unveiling in London last week by Media Molecule'sAlex Evans.
And what better way to celebrate those huge figures that you guys have made possible through all your hard work and dedication than by lifting the curtain on the sequel to the awarding winning PlayStation 3 smash hit?
With a packed room in sight, filled with eager games journalists all chomping at the bit to see what Alex and the team at Media Molecule had in store, the event kicked off with slick trailer showcasing the powerful new tools that you can use to build whole games (yes, you read that right - WHOLE GAMES) in this fresh and exciting LittleBigPlanet world including a riff on the classic arcade shooter, Space Invaders.
Throw in a grappling hook, the hilarious Sackbots, the new Direct Control system and a peek inside some of the story-based new levels and it's safe to say everyone in the room was just as eager as...
