245w ago - I saw this on Yahoo, and with tomorrow being April 1st (D-Day for the Conficker worm) here is an excerpt that may help:
Your first step should be the tools you already have: Windows Update, to make sure your computer is fully patched, and your current antivirus software, to make sure anything that slips through the cracks is caught.
But if Conficker's already on your machine, it may bypass certain subsystems and updating Windows and your antivirus at this point may not work. If you are worried about anything being amiss - try booting into Safe Mode, which Conficker prevents, to check - you should run a specialized tool to get rid of Conficker.
256w ago - In a recent interview, Brian Flemming indicates that a 15-minute mandatory install on Infamous for the PS3 kills the immersion at the start of the game.
Apparently, the game's developers are still toying with exactly where to put the install.
To quote: Sucker Punch's Brian Flemming spoke a bit mandatory installs, saying that the developer believes the first 15 minutes of a game are the most crucial to pull gamers in, and that an install in those first 15 minutes kills that immersion.
"[The first 15 minutes] is where people will transition From The world that they have into your universe. And you have this chance to get them and move them into your space, and capture their attention. And if you mess that up, whatever you did in that last boss battle just doesn't matter."
Flemming continued, explaining that while they are still toying with when, where, and how to place mandatory install, "that 15-minute install is an absolute non-starter for us".
263w ago - Home recently expanded adding in an additional 100,000 gamers. Although still in its closed BETA phase, Home is gearing up to soon be released in a public BETA phase in which (hopefully) anyone will have access to.
We have come across on YouTube a 20 minute PlayStation Home 1.0 walkthrough that shows off all the new spaces within Home. It even comes with commentary to answer so of the questions you may have while you're watching the video.

274w ago - Update: Just like the original BioShock, today Examiner.com has confirmed that BioShock 2 also includes a 5GB PS3 HDD installation, and will arrive in North America on February 9, 2010.
The PS3 version of BioShock has a 5GB mandatory install that takes a little over 10 minutes to complete.
While the game's trundling onto your hard drive, your TV shows your Rapture ads and plays a little piano music.
The game was rumored to have a sizable install after the BBFC rated the game back in July, but 2K commented at the time that it was likely to have an install of "around 5 or 6 minutes" at most, according to this DarkZero report.
