110w ago - Sony Brazil PlayStation Manager Fabio Santana has posted up an interview today on The King of Fighters XIII, which will be hitting the PS3 on November 22, 2011.
To quote: We're truly living a fighting games renaissance. Ever since Street Fighter IV reignited the genre in 2009, we've been getting a number of interesting and diverse fight titles, ranging from the lush visuals of BlazBlue to the air combo extravaganza of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
Along the way, we had The King of Fighters XII from SNK Playmore, touted as a "re-birth" of the traditional 3-on-3 series. And although it really gave new life to the franchise with gorgeous hi-def 2D sprite art and sleek animation, the game delivered little in terms of contents.
Two years later, SNK Playmore is hard at work to regain the crown with The King of Fighters XIII for PS3 courtesy of Atlus in the US. And based on the prospects, 13 seems to be the lucky number for KOF.
The game was originally launched in Japanese arcades back in July 2010, being praised by fighting game connoisseurs for its vastly expanded roster (31 playable characters, including the return of fan favorite Mai Shiranui), revised fighting system...
110w ago - Snowblind Studios Producer Ruth Tomandl has shared a first look video today on the Witch-king in The Lord of the Rings: War in the North for PlayStation 3 today.
To quote: The whole Snowblind Studios team here in Seattle is in the final stretch of development for The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. We cannot wait for the PlayStation community to get their hands on the game, which ships on November 1st.
This has been a great year for The Lord of the Rings. The extended BDs came out this summer, timed with special theatre showings of the films across the nation. It really gave fans the chance to reconnect with these amazing stories, as well as see new content.
With The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, players will be able to experience the iconic Middle-earth universe even more deeply with completely new adventures and story, all based on The Lord of the Rings canon and approved by the license holders.
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North brings a new story to the table, and we've also created a video game experience that I believe is truer to The Lord of the Rings than has been achieved before.
163w ago - SCEE Blog Manager James Gallagher has interviewed Jamie King on the upcoming video game Def Jam Rapstar for PlayStation 3.
To quote: As one of the founders of Rockstar Games, Jamie King has been in the videogame industry about as long has PlayStation has. He's one of the people responsible for bringing us such series as Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne and Midnight Club.
Now a resident of New York City, he is President and Chief Creative Officer of 4MM Games and will soon be launching Def Jam Rapstar in collaboration with Def Jam Records. I recently caught up with him in London to talk about the new venture.
How did the relationship with Def Jam Records come about?
Our EVP, Paul Coyne, came over from Warner Music and he already had a working relationship with Def Jam. They had an existing game deal but when that expired I got to go over and meet Kevin Liles - apparently I was one of the first people to ever dance in the Def Jam offices, weirdly enough.
I told them that I knew how to handle Def Jam in the game space and I took them through some of the potential that I saw, and we arrived at the idea to create a karaoke game based on Def Jam music.
192w ago - Nordcurrent Managing Director Alex Bravve has announced on the PlayStation Blog today that King of Pool for PSP is hittin PSN this week.
To quote: I'd like to talk about our upcoming PSP game King of Pool that will be available on PSN this Thursday, April 8 for $9.99.
Well, King of Pool is one of the biggest collections of Pools and Snooker on PSP. We have worked really hard to implement the whole variety of rules that exist in the world, and we believe we've managed to do so.
The most popular pool type is Eight Ball. It is the kind of pool you would play with your friends in a real life. We have created numerous visual locations for you to choose from, ranging from traditional British pub to modern club that you would find in Tokyo.
Apart from Eight Ball, we have plenty of other modes for you guys to choose: Snooker, Nine Ball, Four Ball, One Cushion Billiard and other pool games. But the most intriguing part is yet to come.
In case the above mentioned modes are not enough, we've gone one step further and created a few original tables you wouldn't find in a real life. Originally they were created by our lead artists just for fun,...

This update patch is already available for the PlayStation 3 version of the title, while the Microsoft console update will have to wait awhile as the date of release for the Xbox 360 patch has not yet been confirmed.
Finally, a list of The King of Fighters XII PS3 Trophies is now available, including the Secret PS3 Trophies.
