Video: Puppeteer Interview: Delving Into Japan Studio's Platformer

59w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton shared a video interview today which delves deeper into Japan Studio's incredible platformer called Puppeteer below!

To quote: Shameless favoritism alert: PlayStation Blog ruddy loves Puppeteer. It's one of the liveliest, loveliest and most downright out-there platformers to come along in years, and plays beautifully to boot.

It arrives in stores on 11th September, and if it's not on your radar yet, it's time to stick a pin in it. This is a game unlike any other you'll see on shelves this year.

With just a few weeks left of development, we caught up with the game's director, the ever-insightful Gavin Moore, last week to delve a little deeper into his deviously dark creation.

When we spoke last year you explained that you were making Puppeteer so that you had something to play with your young son. What's his verdict now that he's been able to play it?





Gavin Moore: He loves it! He likes playing it either on his own or with his Dad, which is nice.

Sony Confirms PS Vita to Hit Japan on December 17 at TGS 2011

154w ago - Today at Sony's Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2011 [Register or Login to view links] the PS Vita handheld console has been confirmed to hit Japan on December 17, 2011.

According to [Register or Login to view links] via [Register or Login to view links], there will be twenty six PlayStation Vita titles (game logos pictured below) at launch, including Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Sony's Hot Shots Golf & Uncharted: Golden Abyss, with various other titles like Dark Quest, BlazBlue, and Rodeo.

For those curious, PlayStation Vita will sell for 24,980 yen (US $324) for the Wi-Fi version and 29,980 (US $390) for the 3G model, which will be available in partnership with Japan's biggest mobile operator NTTDoCoMo.

In the US, a PS Vita model that connects to the Internet only using Wi-Fi will be priced at US $249, while a version of the gadget featuring 3G connectivity to telecom data services will be priced at US $299. Sony did not reveal when the PS Vita will be heading to North America or Europe yet, however, it is predicted to arrive during Q1 of 2012.

Sony Unveils NinoKuni PS3 Slim Bundle Pack Coming to Japan

156w ago - Today Sony has [Register or Login to view links] a new NinoKuni PS3 Slim 'magical gold' bundle pack which will be coming to Japan on November 17 for 33,780 Yen (approximately $439.79 US dollars).

To quote from TechCrunch.com (linked above): "In the package, buyers will find a PS3 in "magical gold" color with a pearly touch, in addition to Ni No Kuni, a fantasy RPG currently in development at Level-5.

The PS3 comes with a 160GB HDD and comes with a Dual Shock controller that's painted like the limited edition console."

Press Release: Tokyo, 1 Sep, 2011- Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ), a division of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) responsible for business operation in Japan, today announced that a "PlayStation 3 NINOKUNI (Tentative title) magical edition" bundle pack will be available for a limited offer on November 17, 2011, concurrently with the release of the NINOKUNI(Tentative title) software title (Level -5).

The bundle pack will include the PlayStation 3 (PS3) computer entertainment system with 160GB HDD and the NINOKUNI(Tentative title) software title, available at a recommended retail price of 33,780 yen (including tax).

Video: Sony HMZ-T1 Visor 3D Headset Hits Japan in November

156w ago - Today TQCast.com (linked above) reports that the Sony PlayStation-branded HMZ-T1 Visor 3D Headset will be hitting Japan on November 11, 2011 to complement the previously announced Sony 3D TV display.

The upcoming head-mounted 3D display visor is described as being like a 750-inch screen mounted on your head!
