27w ago - Gaijinworks developer Victor Ireland posted up a video announcing that fans can enroll in Class of Heroes 2 today on PSP.
Below are the details, as follows: Dungeon crawlers are one of the oldest types of computer RPGs. The premise is simple: Make a party by "rolling" virtual dice, pick your party's races and classes, give the party some stuff to help them fight and protect them from attacks, then head off into the darkness below for gold and glory.
Well, that's how it was supposed to go. There was usually dying in there, too. A LOT of dying. But there's something enchanting about that mix of danger and exploration that has sustained the genre for well over three decades now.
In Japan, the genre is having something of a resurgence, with well over a dozen dungeon crawlers being released for handhelds and consoles in just the last few years.
Class of Heroes 2 has been one of the titles in the vanguard of this new resurgence. It has put a candy-colored anime shell on an often dark genre that Wizardry helped popularize initially, and also added a more interesting and involving set of intertwining stories.
In doing so, it's made the game more accessible to gamers looking to mix up their RPG selections while still retaining the "Wizardry feel" for the hardcore...
36w ago - Sony Worldwide Studios Art Director Gavin Moore revealed a release date and hero heads for Puppeteer on PS3 today alongside a fresh video trailer below.
To quote: I'm just back from the wonderful city of San Francisco and the 2013 Game Developers Conference.
Whilst I was there, I met with some members of the press to give them an exclusive look at the first two acts in Puppeteer, and also share an exciting gameplay reveal... Hero Heads!
As Kutaro, you'll find all sorts of amazing heads to act as your noggin as you journey to get your head back from Moon Bear King. Be careful to collect and keep the right ones, as some have the power to change and shape the world around you, while others unlock bonus stages - adding even more adventure and hilarity to this dark and fantastical tale!
I'm excited to finally let the cat out of the bag (no, not Ying-Yang...I mean a metaphorical cat) about four very special heads that Kutaro will encounter on his journey and aid him in his quest. Each Hero Head possesses a power that once belonged to one of the four legendary "Moon Heroes" who fought valiantly to protect the Moon Goddess from being overthrown by the evil Moon Bear King.
Alas, their powers were no match for Moon Bear King's twelve generals who ultimately defeated...

60w ago - GungHo Online Entertainment America Community Associate Antonio Cara has shared a video spotlighting Dokuro: A Bone-a-fide Hero which emerges on PS Vita today.
To quote: In my last post, I talked a bit about the origins of my favorite numbskull, Dokuro, and the story surrounding his heroic exploits. My ever-diminishing pool of skeleton-themed puns notwithstanding, I'd like to go a bit deeper into the gameplay elements of Dokuro as well as the concepts that spurred development choices.
Although Dokuro was inspired by children's books - The Velveteen Rabbit and a Japanese children's book called Kuma to Yamaneko - don't let the adorable chalk-laden game fool you into thinking the Dark Lord's castle is child's play.
At first, Dokuro may look like a pretty straightforward 2D side-scrolling puzzler: You've got a clear goal of escorting the princess from point A to point B, and a seemingly narrow list of what you can and cannot do to accomplish it.
You push a few boxes around, toggle a switch or two, and bash a few bozos who try to hurt your precious princess. The game wouldn't be a fraction as interesting as it is, however, if it simply stopped there.
As you progress through the treacherous castle, you...
65w ago - DC Universe Online Executive Producer Larry Liberty has shared details today on Hand of Fate - the new DC Universe Online PS3 DLC featuring heroic and villainous episodes.
To quote: Tomorrow, DC Universe Online's latest DLC pack, Hand of Fate, will go live. Hand of Fate is our fifth DLC pack, and it will be unlike anything we've offered to date. We're incredibly excited for you to check it out.
We have designed this DLC to get you and your friends fighting again in DCUO's open world. We want you back out there, battling in the DC Universe's most storied locations - Gotham City and Metropolis.
With the massive open world areas in the game, we felt it was time that we enriched these areas in unexpected ways to give you a deeper gameplay experience as you encounter the world and other players.
The content is high-fidelity, but serial in nature - our high-end players will definitely enjoy this. We have new group missions we call Operations, as well as more than 60 unique side missions.
Additionally, we have added the Utility Belt Attachments feature. This is a fun upgrade that will give you more flexibility in combat by allowing you to use more than just a single trinket or consumable item in your loadout, and will also give you more freedom to use some...
