170w ago - Square Enix's European Brand Manager Antonio Marfuggi has announced today that Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is coming to PSP in Europe this summer.

To quote: I have some great news for you: KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep is coming to Europe (as well as all other PAL territories) this summer, exclusively for your beloved handheld system.

The game, released in Japan just a few months ago, is the latest installment in the KINGDOM HEARTS action-RPG series, and explores the origins of the saga.

The events of this new chapter take place before those of all other games in the series, and are centred around the three aspiring Keyblade Masters Terra, Ventus and Aqua. The three heroes will attempt to unravel the mystery of the missing Master Xehanort, fighting their way from world to world with their own unique combat abilities.

New characters, maps and environments are introduced, including the worlds of Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. And if this were not enough, the game also sports four multiplayer modes, offering endless battles to up to six players, wirelessly connected.

191w ago - The release date for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep for Sony's PSP console has been something of an oddity, at least up until recently.

Square Enix finally gave fans some clue, as they announced it would be coming in "January".

However, it looks like they've finally given in and announced a more definitive date, as Japanese site FF Reunion claims to have the official release date for the game.

The release date? January 9th, 2010. This is only the Japanese release date though, so there's still no word about the North American or European releases.

212w ago - In the recent issue of Dengeki PlayStation, an interview with Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura is held where he talks the series up and even mentions Kingdom Hearts III.

To quote: "Once all three currently announced Kingdom Hearts titles are complete, maybe Sora's turn will come."

Nomura's talking about the portable Kingdom Hearts titles, saying once they're finished, Kingdom Hearts III may begin development.

There's also talk in the issue of "Birth by Sleep being a prelude to Kingdom Hearts 3."

Don't get us too excited, Nomura.

218w ago - Konami has announced a third installment in its Vandal Hearts strategy RPG series, which hasn't seen a new release since the days of the original PlayStation.

Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment is being developed as a downloadable title for PSN and XBLA.

The game serves as a prequel to the original, with Konami promising an interface overhaul for the franchise, multiple endings and CPU-controlled party members who "adapt to the player's style of gameplay."

The game will hit Xbox Live arcade in August and PlayStation Network in September.
