To quote: Hi All, As I promised all lovely members of PS3Hax here, I'm glad to announce the release of my own PlayStation 3 NAND Flash Tool v2.0 that implement my new NAND sorting algorithm & RPS's ECC calculation algorithm (credit goes to RPS for the ECC calculation algorithm).

This tool is a replacement for the famous FlowRebuilder tool for handling PS3 NAND dumps.

What is special in my tool, since flowrebuilder could do the same process?

The special thing in my tool that it can handle all NAND dump types even that one that Flowrebuilder can not unscramble and make unified dump out of them cause it have some bad blocks in some critical areas that affect FlowRebuilder sorting algorithm.

files are stored as modname.seg#.bin

6w ago - Following up on the previous update, today PlayStation 3 developers sguerrini97 and ripl (aka haxxxen) have made available (via Chipwelt) a PS3 RSoD Fix PKG for all Custom Firmware (CFWs) with details below.

To quote, roughly translated: PS3 homebrew developers sguerrini97 and ripl[a.k.a.haxxxen] have made available a new PS3 RSoD (Red Screen of Death) fix for all CFW.

  • The actual RSoD fix occurs by the VTRM area on flash being rewritten.
  • The ability to do this is already built into the firmware, it just needs to be called.
  • The "RSoD Fix all" PKG is for RSoD Bypass CFW, CEX and DEX 3.55 until CFW 4.65, not with the CFW 9.99 DG PUPs

So yes, I could finally access the ★Debug Settings on a retail console. But no, we can not use it
Sony learned their lesson and removed the back-end so this is not very useful for us.
Maybe there is a way to unlock it's full potential, but I could not find it, yet.
