26w ago - Today German site Computerbild.de have shared preliminary details and pictures on how to swap in / upgrade a PS4 HDD on the PlayStation 4 video game console.

To quote: "German tech site Computer Bild has gotten their hands on a PlayStation 4 console and show us all how to open it up to swap out the HDD via a few pictures.

It seems like a simple enough process and there is also a fancy, customized PlayStation screw that has the Square, X, Circle, and Triangle symbols we all know and love. The HDD is under the piano black plastic and it seemingly pops right off to allow users access to the internal workings of the PS4.

This is great news for PlayStation fans everywhere, since one of the best things about owning a PlayStation 3 is the ability to swap out hard drives for bigger ones. Considering the amount of digital content PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for, this has always been a godsend.

Sony recognized that this ability would give gamers even more options to customize their PlayStations according to the storage sizes they needed, and so they've aptly...

Below are the details, as follows: So it really bugs me to see this every time I boot up or reboot, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

So, to edit it yourself, do the following:

  • Download RCOmage (rcomage-v1.1.0_repack.rar / Mirror) and extract somewhere suitable on your PC.
  • Now, while running your PS3, go into Multiman and enable dev_blind (4th last item in settings).
  • Go to file manager or FTP into dev_blind/vsh/resource and copy sysconf_plugin.rco to USB/PC.
  • Open the .rco in RCOmage where it says "RCO input" by selecting browse..
  • Set the output name to whatever you want, save as .xml and untick every box, other than "Seperate resource types" and "Decode VSMX scripts".

Video: PS3 4.31 OFW to 4.30 Rogero v2.03 CFW with Flasher Guide

1300°
68w ago - Nearly two months after the previous update, today I have posted a guide and video on how to downgrade a PS3 4.31 OFW console (including CECH-300x slims) to 4.30 Rogero v2.03 CFW using a PS3 Hardware Flasher with no 3.55 needed.

Very easy tutorial. Follow the steps to downgrade a PS3, but when you get to the first step of the USB downgrading part after putting your PS3 into service mode, use Rogero 4.30 CFW v2.03 on the root of the USB with the lv2diag.self to downgrade instead of the 3.55.

So again, no 3.55 ever touches the PS3 during this whole setup! Doing this will also now allow CECH-300x models original slims to be downgraded to 4.30 CFW as long as it never touches 3.55

The whole reason for this was to find out if the E3 fits a CECH-400xx model super slim models, but all I needed was proof that you can downgrade from 4.31 to 4.30 CFW with a flasher.

So if any one out there has an E3 and a new super slim model please test this if it works! You can make back ups of the NOR incase it fails.

Here is proof you can but I still do...
