27w ago - Today R*Q has officially posted up trailer #2 showcasing Grand Theft Auto V for the PlayStation 3 console with details below!

Grand Theft Auto V, commonly shortened to GTA V, is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game being developed by games developer Rockstar North, and published by Rockstar Games.

The game will be the first major title in the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV (2008), and a continuation of the fictional universe that was introduced in that game.

The fifteenth game in the series overall, GTA V is to be set in fictional Los Santos in the state of San Andreas and its surrounding areas, based on modern-day Los Angeles and Southern California.

A rendition of Los Santos was previously featured as one of three cities in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, released in 2004.

According to Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto V is destined to be their biggest open world game to date. The game will concentrate on "the pursuit of the almighty dollar". A highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto V was officially announced on 25 October 2011, but it was a further year before the release window of Q2 2013 was announced.

70w ago - Following suit with the previous Mortal Kombat PS3 mods, today EvilB and nativesith have made available some Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV) modifications for PS3 CFW users.

An update of the 8th release with a new importing (EFLC to IV). The last import job caused problems with the skylift and buzzard. Evil B showed up outta nowhere with mods that are unlike anyone else's (like the no cops at airport and the 360 port of casino's car placement at the airport).

jdmalex played around with the script on the 8th making a few improvement on that. I did the first playerped modding with the Niko/Luis and Niko/Johnny. Lets not forget the first EFLC mod with ICe La GLACE's...

162w ago - Today Rockstar has tweeted that both Grand Theft Auto 4 DLC packs will be available for download from midnight Pacific time, to quote:

"The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony go up on PlayStation Network & Games for Windows LIVE Tuesday in N. America at 12:01AM Pacific"

Both Grand Theft Auto 4 DLC packs 'The Lost and the Damned' and 'The Ballad of Gay Tony' were XBox 360 timed-exclusives, but their expiration has been met and they will now be available on the PS Store starting at midnight tonight.

However if you don't have the game yet, wait until Episodes from Liberty City releases, which is Grand Theft Auto 4 plus both DLC packs all on one disc.

Episodes of Liberty City arrives in stores for the PS3 today.

178w ago - In a recent interview with GameInformer.com (linked above), the director of analyst services for Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR) Jesse Divnich predicted a new Grand Theft Auto game will be unveiled at E3 2010 in June.

To quote: "I think we're going to hear about another Grand Theft Auto. I think there won't be any playable stuff. I think they'll give you some type of teaser, because we do think that a year from then in 2011 we're going to see another Grand Theft Auto."

We asked Divnich about whether Sony or Microsoft would try and nab some sort of exclusive rights to the newest GTA, but he thought that those days were over.

"I don't foresee Microsoft or Sony attempting to obtain any type of exclusivity with the next Grand Theft Auto. Microsoft paid a lot of money for exclusivity on the downloadable content for GTA IV, which unfortunately did little to move consoles for Microsoft."

196w ago - It appears a Sony employee spilled the beans earlier today in a thread (now removed) on the official European PlayStation board.

To quote Yaster: "And they were certainly showing some PS3 love - Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area, we didn't manage to get our hands on it due to the MASSIVE queue - but those inside looked pretty excited."

Since the initial leak and thread removal, a new thread has been started and rumor has it Yaster said he is working on getting the story back up.

Time will tell, however, if this is true then it appears Microsoft's exclusive 'paid' DLC won't be exclusive for much longer.
