73w ago - Sony Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein has shared a video today demonstrating the new PlayStation controls in FIFA Soccer for the PS Vita handheld console.
To quote: EA's first foray onto the PlayStation Vita is a strong one, as the EA Sports team in Vancouver isn't just miniaturising the PS3 experience into a portable size, but refining the controls to take advantage of the new hardware. In this hands-on video, producer Matt Prior demonstrates what he calls "the most controllable version of FIFA ever."
As is quickly becoming standard practice when console franchises debut on the Vita, these touchscreen controls are optional. Yet I think longtime video footballers will find themselves using at least some of these new tricks pretty quickly, as they feel right at home.
I spent some time with this demo version of FIFA after the event, and I found myself toying around with the playable menu screen for a long time, just taking shot after shot on goal.
The accuracy of the rear touch shooting has won me over, and I look forward to hearing your impressions of it once it debuts in just a few short months.
74w ago - Producer Matt Prior has shared some video footage today on FIFA Soccer for PlayStation Vita below.
To quote: Coming this February, EA SPORTS FIFA Soccer on PS Vita will be the first true next generation sports experience right in the palm of your hand.
With console gameplay and HD graphics, FIFA Soccer delivers the largest feature set ever created by EA SPORTS for a handheld device.
The same physics-based, data driven technology that powers FIFA gameplay on PlayStation 3 drives FIFA Soccer on the Vita across eight different game modes, including authentic 11 versus 11, Be A Pro, Tournament Mode with over 50 real-world competitions, a full in-depth Career Mode, and head-to-head online.
The game definitely looks and plays like the award-winning FIFA console game.
So the game definitely delivers the authenticity and quality that the FIFA franchise is known for. But the cool stuff comes in the innovations that the development team up in Vancouver has cooked up to utilize front and back multitouch screens to create an intelligent and unique gameplay experience.

130w ago - Today DemonHades (and Jack90 at Spanish site Elotrolado.net) have reported a rumor of a possible PS3 kernel exploit discovered in the FIFA Soccer 09 game for PlayStation 3.
Currently there are no plans to publicly disclose the exploit, however, if it does surface there is a good chance it will still be present in PS3 Firmware 3.50 so only time will tell for sure.
To quote DemonHades, roughly translated: "I do not think showing more are demonstrated, but helping others and providing information.
I am not a coder "hopefully" would dawn, I'm ideologue and analyze the details.
What the exploit as I said in my private message that was copied to EOL (without my consent) was a reply to the question suggested by maee, who kindly responded.
As I said the FIFA09 has a kernel exploit not want to publish for several reasons, including neglecting the business model wave dependence on "x" groups, including Math.
Having the information is to have the power to handle situations as you saw when they released the code in the groove ("as if you throw rice to the pigeons go all at once and do not separate from you, but if they see anything they do not strip is piran "), I for personal reasons...
