243w ago - According to Co-founder and Managing Director of Guerrilla Games Hermen Hulst, Killzone 2 will not be receiving co-op as downloadable content.
To quote: "We looked at all the different flavors of co-op early on, but decided our first priority would have to be the single-player experience and the multiplayer," Hulst informed Game Informer.
"Rather than just tack on co-op, it would have to be integrated and done to a similar standard as the single and multiplayer."
"Having looked at it again now. I do not think we would want to add it as DLC," he said.
It appears that this is the final word on co-op for Killzone 2. For those looking forward to the new downloadable maps, Sony has confirmed the release date for April 30. The price point for the pack in currently unknown.

To quote: Last night, Nintendo held an event for platinum members of Club Nintendo to try out the new DSi. Quite a few interesting tidbits were shared at the event, including that DSi owners will be able to download Game Boy and GBA games.
I am going to mark this as a rumor for now, however. We haven't heard about this in Japan and Nintendo has yet to officially confirm the news.
• Will be only able to download Nintendo GBA/GB titles at first
• GBA/GB games will be region-locked
• Will be able to run the games from an SD card
• Calculators will be downloadable
• Opera available for download on DSi launch day
• Confirmed that owners will receive 1000 free points
247w ago - Sony has been querying the gaming community on the viability of a possible Comic Book reader and download service for their PSP.
To quote: Surveys were sent out with the following video (see below) attached.
Though the online "comic shop" is new, viewing comics on your PSP is old hat and rather frustrating, though not nearly as much as trying to read web pages on it. What this service/function needs is an auto "frame go-to and re-sizer". Perhaps it has one, but I couldn't gleem one from the video.
I say it every time when there's a PSP story and I'm saying it again,... stop adding stupid stuff to the PSP when all I really want is a second analog stick!

While each game took up its fair amount of space, it was definitely convenient to not have to put the disc into the console in order to play the games. The ease of booting up our beloved console and clicking a menu item to start playing a great title like Burnout Paradise is definitely something that made the occupied HDD space worth it.
If this is something you've enjoyed, you may be happy to know that some analysts think that this may become the norm for the electronics giant we've all come to love.
According to Futuresource Consulting's senior market analyst Mai Hoang, Sony is considering rolling out an entire lineup of $40 downloadable titles that are sold at a discount in comparison to their $60 disc-based counterparts. While this idea has been tested by Sony with the previously titles mentioned, it's a treatment that first-party PSP titles in Japan have been enjoying for quite some time.
Futuresource believes that Sony wants to take a bigger piece of the digital distribution market which could validate this new game-delivery strategy. Considering that digitally...
