100°
93w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator Ryan Phillips made a triple announcement today confirming that Disgaea D2, Time and Eternity, and The Guided Fate Paradox are all hitting PS3 this year!

Below are the deets, to quote: I wanted to drop in to talk real quick about all the awesome new titles that were just announced at our annual press event!

We have three brand-new PlayStation 3 exclusive titles lined up for release later this year for North America and Europe, so let's jump right in!

I want to kick things off with our big announcement from this year's press event! Coming this summer, NIS America will be publishing Time and Eternity in North America and Europe! Time and Eternity was developed by IMAGEEPOCH Inc. and licensed by NAMCO BANDAI Games, and is a very exciting title for us, as it is a brand-new style of RPG using hand-drawn animation!

Time and Eternity places you in a serene kingdom where everyone is ready to celebrate the imminent marriage of their princess to a valiant knight. However, when a group of assassins appears during the ceremony, the glorious day is brought to a screeching halt as the knight is mortally wounded in the ambush.

As a last resort, the princess reveals...

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories Hits PlayStation Network Today

100°
99w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator Ryan Phillips has announced that Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories hits PlayStation Network today with details below, as follows:

Greetings all! We're super excited that Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories is coming to PSN later today as a PS2 Classic! I'm dropping by today to talk briefly about the title and to answer any questions you may have for us!

First let's talk about the Disgaea in general for those that are new to the series. Disgaea is a turn-based strategy role-playing game series that is well known for its over-the-top attacks that give you the ability to inflict millions of points of damage on your enemies, its cast of hilarious and memorable characters, and lastly its deep customizable gameplay and seemingly endless replayability. If you're an RPG fan and new to the series, this is an opportune chance to try it out on your PS3 for only $9.99!

Here is the story in a nutshell: a mighty Overlord named Zenon (one of my favorite characters) has cursed the land and now Veldime is transforming into a nasty Netherworld. Memories are sterilized, bodies demonized, and the world is generally falling into chaos.

The only one unaffected is a young man, named Adell. He stands up to fight the curse, but of course things never go as planned. Enter...

Video: Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention Hits PS Vita on April 17th

141w ago - NIS America Marketing Coordinator Ryan Phillips has announced today alongside a video trailer that Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention arrives to PS Vita on April 17, 2012.

To quote: I'm dropping by to have a quick chat about Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention as it will be hitting both PSN and retailer shelves on April 17th, dood!

Let's jump right into it and talk about some of the brand-new features for its PS Vita debut!

For newcomers, Disgaea is a turn-based strategy RPG where players can move and arrange their characters using a grid-based system to perform special attacks, or team up to do millions of points of damage (often in very comical cutscenes) against their opponents.

Disgaea is also known for its wacky cast of characters, one being NIS America's awesome mascot, Prinny (highly disposable peon penguin demons that explode), all of which are illustrated by Takehito Harada.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice first landed on PS3 on August 2008, and along with it came an extensive amount of DLC featuring a lot of characters from the Disgaea universe. We are extremely happy to let everyone know that all of the aforementioned DLC is already included in Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for...

Video: Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention PS Vita RPG Hits in April

150w ago - NIS America PR / Marketing Coordinator Nao Zook has announced today that Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention will be hitting the PS Vita this April and will be the handheld console's first RPG release.

To quote: Today, I would like to share our brand new trailer for Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for the PlayStation Vita system. Disgaea 3 for the PS Vita will be released in April.

We are really excited about Disgaea 3 coming out on the PS Vita over here. Yes, it is a port of the PlayStation 3 version, but it will be equipped with new character stories, new systems, new attack levels, new bosses, and will include all the DLC that was released for the PS3 version, all on one card.

So even if you have already played Disgaea 3 on the PS3 system, you'll have something new to experience with this PS Vita version!

Of course, there will be some PS Vita specific systems integrated into the game, as well. For example, there is a system called "Honor Quotient," which uses the GPS to track how far you've traveled while playing the game. The more you travel, the higher your Honor Quotient will rise (you'll be able to increase your Honor Quotient by winning battles, increasing your total play time, and by other means as well).

With a high Honor Quotient, you will be able...

Disgaea 4 PS3 Japanese Translation Pre-Beta Version Patcher Out

1450°
163w ago - Following up on our initial release, we (Tidusnake666, Tobster7, Alexmagno) have now finally been able to fix Disgaea 4 Translation dialogue bugs.

That means, that apart from some menu entries, the game is all in English text (we decided to exclude sound patching option, because it's still asynched, so you'll have Japanese voices - if you don't like them - turn them off )

Yeah, you've read it right, now everyone can enjoy story! Dialogues, items, skills, pretty much everything is translated!

Instructions:

0. Make a backup of your Disgaea 4 JAP game (BLJS-10095), and place it somewhere, preferably on the root of the drive (there's no spacebar nor special chars problems, but it's more convinient this way), i.e - "C:\BLJS10095"

1. Donwload patcher (Pre-beta version) [Register or Login to view links] , extract it somewhere and run D4Trans.exe.

2. Ensure "Translate EBOOT" is checeked and the default START.DAT patching method is checked ("1: Glyphicate all"). Later, if you'll have some troubles you can always repatch it.

3. CLick "START!" and choose location of your...
