9w ago - Sony Social Media and Community Manager Roberto Kusabbi posted up a new video today which gives fans a deeper dive into the world of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on PS3.
To quote: Hello! It's been awhile. How are we all? Today I wanted to share with you a short film we put together at an Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag event we had special access to last month, including some more information on exclusive PlayStation content for the game.
I was lucky enough to enjoy a good stint of gameplay on PS4, including multiplayer, and it didn't disappoint. With the added graphical detail on PS4, the single player story mode is totally immersive, offering a huge open pirate world for you to plunder.
What I found most impressive was how the story links into actual historical events, delving deep into real pirate culture and folklore. And the online play? So. Much. Fun.
Check out the video for a closer look, and stay tuned - we'll have a few more clips coming your way in the next few weeks too, including something slightly different!
10w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani posted up a new Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag PS3 trailer dubbed The Heist today.
To quote: Pirates were a lot of things, but above all, they were ruthless opportunists on the hunt for plunder, booty, fortune... call it whatever you want - Captain Edward Kenway calls it an end to be reached, by any means necessary.
With the acquisition of riches his paramount goal, Edward assembles a group of like-minded renegades to take the West Indies for all they're worth. Watch the video below for a quick peek at how Kenway organizes a world-class pirate heist!
With the largest governments of the world all bearing down on the islands of the West Indies with a mandate to eradicate the pirate threat once and for all, Captain Kenway and his cohorts will need to band together to survive.
Of course, with that cooperation comes increased effectiveness and even greater gains... as Blackbeard, Charles Vane, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack join forces with the goal of bleeding every scrap of gold out of these islands before the hammer finally falls.
Spoiler alert... it's going to get grim, Assassins!
11w ago - Activision Community Manager Dan Amrich announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC arrives on PS3 today.
Below are the details, to quote: There are two ways to look at Apocalypse - the fourth and final DLC collection for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
You might see it as the end of new multiplayer maps after a long, fruitful year of content. Or, you might choose to see it as the beginning of the Zombies storyline. Either way, you're right.
Let's start with Origins, the Zombies adventure that answers one of the biggest questions in Call of Duty history: how did all this undead chaos really begin?
The answer lies in World War I, and the original heroes of the Zombies saga - Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen - will be the ones who uncover that answer. With plenty of hidden surprises, a new song from Avenged Sevenfold, and giant robots that stomp across the battlefield, Origins is as satisfying as it is cryptic.
On the multiplayer front, Apocalypse delivers four maps worthy of the skill you've honed for months. Takeoff - a fresh take on the Black Ops fan-favorite Stadium - takes place on a remote launch platform in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, with statues and corridors that make you earn every sight line.
11w ago - Ubisoft Community Developer Gabriel Graziani shared a video today introducing the cast of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag which is coming to both PS3 and PS4 platforms.
To quote: We're introducing a full crew of rowdy yet realistic buccaneers, privateers and straight-up pirates in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, so we figured you would benefit from a little face-time with the roughest of them.
And who better to cry them out for you than Captain Edward Kenway himself, played by the talented Matt Ryan.
Widely renowned for his incredible charisma and mercurial temper, Captain Edward Kenway is joined by his Quartermaster and closest ally Adewale (played by Tristan D. Lalla.
The pair will quickly find themselves thrown in with the likes of the wiley and terrifying Edward "Blackbeard" Thatch, the gentlemanly yet morally grey Benjamin Hornigold and the downright jolly Stede Bonnet.
Meanwhile, the dauntless privateer Woodes Rogers seeks to eliminate the encroaching pirate threat festering in Nassau. But first, he'll have to contend with the wicked and merciless cut-throat Charles Vane (played by Ralph...
12w ago - Killzone Community Editor Victor Zuylen posted up a Killzone Shadow Fall PS4 Q&A today dubbed The Black Hand on PlayStation 4 below.
To quote: Following our recent Guerrilla Dossier on the Black Hand, we've asked Art Director Roy Postma and Assistant Art Director Dan Calvert to tell us more about the creation and design of the radical Helghast subfaction from Killzone Shadow Fall.
Why do the Black Hand look so different from any of the foes seen before in the Killzone universe?
Dan Calvert: We're dealing with the universe-changing consequences of the demise of planet Helghan, plus the jump in time between Killzone 3 and Killzone Shadow Fall. We'd already started to see the Helghast fragment in Killzone 3 after Scolar Visari's death, and the loss of their home and a vast part of their population only furthered this.
The Helghast maintain their identity and their ideals, but their goals are now splintered. The Black Hand are the most divergent Helghast subfaction we see in Shadow Fall; they're not a regular army, and...
