Video: The Origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita

50°
25w ago - Acidnerve's Mark Foster shared a video trailer today showcasing the origin of Titan Souls on PS4 and PlayStation Vita with details below.

To quote: Armed with a single, indestructible arrow, Titan Souls on PS4 and PS Vita drops you into the midst of a desolate world you have no knowledge of.

Exploration will soon reveal the hiding places of the Titans that reside here, and it's your job to take them down.

Tense, punishing boss battles are a love of ours that we think a lot of gamers share. These kind of battles are the very core of the gameplay in Titan Souls. There are no health bars - a single strike will end your life, and a single hit to a Titan's weak spot is all you'll need to pull off a kill.

It's not as simple as it sounds, however - each Titan is completely unique, with its own threatening move set and its own hidden weakness to be exposed. It's a challenging game, and we're not going to help you out with any overt tutorials or prompts either - you'll need to observe carefully and figure things out for yourself. Whilst simultaneously managing to survive. Maybe we're just horrible people.

The idea was born out of a Ludum Dare jam game of the same name that we made in a weekend...

To quote: Prepare your couch and gather your closest friends, because on August 19th, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition will unleash Death itself on PS4s around the world.

Today, we're also excited to announce that players who take the fight for Sanctuary to their big screen TV on PS3 and PS4 will also enjoy exclusive content based on two popular PlayStation games.

Get ready to endure and survive, nephalem. For the Ultimate Evil Edition, we've teamed up with Naughty Dog to create a unique Nephalem Rift inspired by their award-winning The Last of Us. Featuring hand-picked environments from the Diablo III universe and an ominous yellow spore effect, this randomized dungeon level is sure to awaken the survivor in us all.

Oh! And did we mention the monsters? The Last of Us Nephalem Rift is teeming with a series of ravenous creatures modeled after the infamous Stalker, Clicker, and Bloater infected.

Raise thy sword by the Light! In addition to The Last of Us Nephalem Rift, the Ultimate Evil Edition will also include a PlayStation exclusive that pays homage to a gaming classic.

Players who purchase Ultimate Evil Edition...

Namco Bandai Announces Dark Souls II is Out Today on PS3

50°
41w ago - Namco Bandai Community Manager J Kartje announced that Dark Souls II is out today on PS3 with details below.

To quote: March 11th has arrived and it's time to go beyond death. The Dark Souls II servers are live and we're excited to see everyone online and exploring the world of Drangleic.

Today, we wanted to give an extended look at some of the Covenants that you may be joining in Dark Souls II. This is not a complete list as we wouldn't want to spoil the secrets that await you on your quest.

Covenant masters are scattered throughout the world of Dark Souls II and, under certain conditions, may invite you to join their ranks. Seek the protection of a noble order of knights. Defend against invaders from other worlds.

Set out on a lonely and arduous journey. Lay a trap and draw other players into your world. Protect a long-forgotten tower. Thirst for more blood. These tasks and more are laid before you as you deceive, challenge, and offer aid to fellow players online.

Way of the Blue

Not everyone seeks to challenge other players online. Joining the Way of the Blue will give a player access to a ring that will summon a member of the noble Blue Sentinels if invaded by an enemy player from another world. If you're not comfortable battling online...

Namco Bandai Unveils Dark Souls II PlayStation 3 Survival Guide

50°
42w ago - Namco Bandai Community Manager J Kartje unveiled a Dark Souls II PlayStation 3 Survival Guide for PS3 fans today!

To quote: Dark Souls II continues a long tradition of games that will challenge even the most veteran of gamers. You'll explore, experiment, and die many times throughout your quest.

While it would be against From Software's design philosophy to give you a detailed map of the world and a full explanation of the game's story, we did want to give you a few pointers before you go beyond death come March 11th on PS3.

A few basic changes exist within Dark Souls II that even the Souls veterans might want to know before venturing into the land of Drangleic:

Fast Travel: Bonfire's serve as the "checkpoints" in Dark Souls II. As soon as you light a new Bonfire, you're able to travel between that fire and any other Bonfire that you've lit.

Leveling: Spending hard-earned souls to level up can only happen with the Emerald Herald, a specific NPC you'll need to return to each time you wish to seek more power.

Welcome to Majula: Soaked in eerie sunlight, you'll be roaming around the hub town of Majula early on in your quest. Majula houses the Emerald Herald, vendors, merchants, and other persons of interest that will help you piece together the many...
