First PlayStation All-Stars DLC: Kat and Emmett Join Battle Royale

200°
110w ago - Sony Santa Monica Studio Lead Game Designer Seth Killian has announced today that Kat and Emmett are joining Battle Royale as part of the first PlayStation All-Stars DLC for free!

Below are the details, as follows: What? Me again? Wasn't I just here to let you know that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale had gone gold?

Have you ever wondered what dev teams do after a game goes gold? If all is going well, often times they get down to business with DLC. And in fact that's exactly what we have begun.

I'm here today to announce the first DLC characters that will be joining the All-Stars roster: Kat from Gravity Rush, and Starhawk's Emmett Graves!

In addition to the signature weapons you'll remember from his duels with the Outcasts on Dust, Emmett's playstyle will also utilize Starhawk's unique "Build and Battle" system, calling down help from the sky.

Kat's approach turns gravity on its head with some mind-bending new ways to move as she positions herself for her unique brand of aerial assault. Together, they make up one of the most original duos in All-Stars.

These DLC All-Stars still have a long way to go before they're ready to be shown off, but we wanted to let you know what the team will be working on now that we've gone...

SuperBot: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Moves to November

50°
123w ago - SuperBot Entertainment President Chan Park has confirmed today that the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale release is officially moved to November, 2012.

To quote: As you know, we at SuperBot have set high benchmarks for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Our goal is to deliver a fun, well-balanced, and compelling gameplay experience that pays homage to all of these incredible characters.

We also know our fans have high expectations for this title, and to that end, we have decided to move the release date to November 20th, 2012 for North America (including Canada) and Latin America territories.

This will let us spend more time polishing and tuning the game, and it will give us a chance to incorporate some of the great feedback we're receiving from the current limited beta to ensure we are creating the best possible fighting game experience.

While it is our greatest desire to put this game into the hands of our fans as soon as possible, we do not want to do so at the sake of quality. The additional time will be well worth the wait, and are excited to know that our fans will have the ultimate brawler in time for the holiday.

Keep an eye on GamesCom this week, as we've lined up some big announcements that we're sure you'll be excited about. Thanks again for...

Below are the details, to quote: Hey everyone! Last week, SuperBot Entertainment and PlayStation invited a small group of players to get a hands-on preview of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale as part of our early development beta.

We're beginning to test our servers and connectivity issues and this is just the beginning as we work toward rolling out a public beta to the entire PlayStation nation this Fall.

As part of this exclusive access, players were able to take control of characters such as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, PaRappa the Rapper, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess and battle in environments such as Dreamscape, Metropolis, Sandover Village, and Hades.

The feedback we're receiving from beta testers has been highly encouraging and valuable, helping us craft the best online multiplayer fighting experience possible.

In addition, there was an unexpected and unintended leak in our beta that allowed fans to be able to see some additional content.

We've enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups,...
