234w ago - Social Media Senior Specialist Chris Morell has shared a new E3 2009 Batman: Arkham Asylum video from the show's floor today via PlayStation Blog.
To quote: There are plenty of reasons to pick up Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3 on August 25.
But for those who are still unconvinced, I spoke with Lead Narrative Designer Paul Crocker of developer Rocksteady at E3 about the newest Batman game, including Play as the Joker exclusive to PLAYSTATION 3.
241w ago - A new advertisement appearing earlier than expected in Sony's PlayStation Home reveals the ability to play as The Joker in PlayStation 3 exclusive challenge levels for Batman: Arkham Asylum.
To quote: Several readers sent us in blurry photos of the new sign, which has appeared in various spots throughout the Home service today, featuring a grinning Joker (the best kind) and boasting exclusive challenge levels for the PS3 version in which players will be able to take control of the clown prince of crime. I hopped online and snapped my own shot, but appreciate the efforts of our readers to bring this story to light.
I contacted public relations for the game, who couldn't offer me any details on the exclusive, or whether or not the Xbox 360 version would be getting something similar. In fact, the man I spoke to seemed rather shocked that the ad had already gone up. Whoops.
244w ago - A gamer is reporting that he managed to play the demo of the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum game at a GameStop store in Ohio on the display PS3.
The demo is reportedly 4 levels long, and the combat mechanics are very impressive he states.
To quote: Just played a demo @ Gamestop in Niles, Ohio on the display PS3. This game's going to be just about awesome. The demo is 4 levels of Batman in a room in the asylum with a number of thugs, starting with (I think) four. The number increases after every room clear.
It's only combat, but the combat mechanics are frickin' awesome. Countering's easy and smooth, and catching a kick behind your back and sticking an elbow to the face is priceless.
Once you start a combo, you can seamlessly counter and attack in order to keep the combo counter climbing.
