213w ago - Update: RPGLand.com has now uncovered what appears to be a preliminary picture (below) of the Final Fantasy XIII North American PS3 box art on Play-Asia.com.
Square Enix have posted an anagram on their official North American Final Fantasy XIII Web site recently. The puzzle, dubbed "A Henchmen Inventor Tent Unto," appears to hint at an upcoming Final Fantasy XIII announcement.
Shortly following its release, FinalFantasy-XIII.net uncovered the message's meaning as: "Announcement Nov Thirteenth."
To quote: "The nature of this 'announcement' is still up in the air, though our money's on an official North American release date for the super-anticipated RPG.
Though, considering the speed at which the series is growing now, we wouldn't be surprised if Squeenix went ahead and dropped the Final Fantasy XV bomb on us."
219w ago - It appears as though Capcom's big announcement has been leaked a day early... French Web site JV247.com claims that the big announcement is Super Street Fighter IV, and this version will sport characters including as T.Hawk and Juri.
"The source is apparently JV247, a French Web site, which claims an anonymous source revealed a couple of facts about the game - namely, that two of the new characters for the game are T.Hawk and Juri, the former a veteran of Super Street Fighter II, and the latter seemingly new.
We imagine we'll have more details tomorrow, but JV247 does note that it's unconfirmed as to whether this will be a new, seperate game, or whether it will be DLC. Or both. Or neither. Or, in fact, what systems it'll be coming to."
239w ago - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots came and we played. Then our own Scottish nobleman Mark Serrels came, and we went dang man, WTF?!
Yes there is no greater Kojima fanboy than gameplayer's Mr. Serrels who holds as his three fondest moments in life getting married, killing The End and seeing Kojima's wang in the dunnies at a Konami press trip in late 2007 in support of MGS4.
The man keeps in contact with the friends he made on that trip, including a member of Kojima's staff, who has just dropped him an email saying that the famous developer is about to make a big announcement in "T minus 3 days and counting" with regards to a new project.
What could it be? Zone of Enders 3? Snatcher Reborn? Metal Gear Solid vs. NWO World Tour? Speculate your respective butts off in the comments below and be sure to watch this space for info as soon as it drops. For the record, we're guessing a repackaged Metal Gear Solid 4, possibly in the vein of Subsistence. But for giggles we're saying MGS4 for Xbox 360!
240w ago - Today Social Media Manager Jeff Rubenstein shared a MAG FAQ video along with a live chat announcement, to quote:
When we asked you what you wanted to know about a rather large list of our upcoming, exclusive games, questions for developer Zipper Interactive far outweighed the rest. That's why the following Q&A video lasts a whopping 12 minutes (!)
But know that I had to have a light hand on the editor; any shots cut are readers' queries going unanswered - and where's the fun in that? First up, Zipper VP Michael Gutmann gives us the overview, before Lead Designer Andy Beaudoin breaks down the gameplay in detail.
OK, even with all of those questions deftly addressed by Zipper, I'm wagering that you now have a few more things that you'd like to ask. That's why the team will be joining us LIVE on the Blog this Wednesday at 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern for a chat. Please join us!
242w ago - Update: It looks like inFamous (coming May 27th) could come with an online BETA code of some sort for Uncharted 2's unannounced (and unconfirmed) multiplayer mode. We'll find out soon enough!
After jumping onto Sony's PlayStation.com website, I noticed that they have a small teaser hinting something big is on the way.
They show pictures of inFAMOUS and Uncharted 2 in the short clip.
Are there new demos for these highly anticipated titles on the way? Or something bigger?
Only time will tell for sure, but feel free to speculate below in the comments.
