Action Button Announces Tuffy the Corgi Out on PlayStation Mobile

50°
25w ago - Action Button Entertainment Founder and Director Tim Rogers announced that Tuffy the Corgi is out now on PlayStation Mobile.

To quote: When I was ten years old and my parents weren't paying me to mow the lawn yet, my grandmother wrote me a birthday check for fifty dollars instead of five dollars.

The most remarkable part is maybe that she wrote "fifty" on the check: "F-I-F-T-Y." My mom wanted me to give it back. My dad persuaded my mom to let me keep the money.

I used that fifty dollars to buy Super Mario Bros. 3.

I have played Super Mario Bros. 3 every year on my birthday after that. I have a long standing custom where I play every level in the game, from start to finish - no warping, and (hopefully) no dying.

I'm an "adult" now, so I invite friends over to play the game with me. On my twenty-fifth birthday, I managed to get all the way through every level in the entire game without taking a single hit. I'm proud of that. I then said to myself, "I'd sure like to make a game like this someday."

Well, June 7th was my thirty-fifth birthday. It's been ten years since I finished my perfect game of Super Mario Bros. 3, and I still haven't ever worked on a game like it.

Reaper is Coming to PlayStation Vita as Free-to-Play Action RPG

28w ago - Creative Director Luc Bernard announced today alongside a PlayStation Vita video trailer that Reaper is coming to PS Vita as a free-to-play action RPG!

To quote: Hello, I'm Luc Bernard. I'm the creative director, and art director, and - well - I look after many other roles on Reaper for PS Vita. Now this is my first time doing a post on Playstation.Blog, so it may sound a bit all over the place!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but years ago Reaper was announced back in 2010 for Playstation Portable. The title had to be put on hold for a while sadly, but now it's back. I'd say it's a great thing that I waited this long to resume development and show it to the world.

Reaper is a free-to-play title exclusive to PlayStation Vita. Personally the Vita is my favorite portable system for many reasons, which I don't think I need to go into since you Vita owners already know them.

Now let's talk about the gameplay. Reaper is an action RPG platformer, so you'll be leveling up, pulling off combos, destroying enemies, and all those kind of things.

But what makes it unique is the card system. Now don't worry, it's not like those mobile games that have cards where you can't do anything with them -...

Video: Nidhogg on PS4: Sidescrolling Competitive Fencing Action

50°
33w ago - Messhof LLC Co-founder Kristy Norindr posted up a video today announcing some sidescrolling competitive fencing action in Nidhogg on PS4 with details below.

To quote: Hello blogizens, we at [Register or Login to view links] are super excited to announce that [Register or Login to view links] is coming to PS4! The game has always been best played with gamepads, so we're pumped to be working with Sony on our newest release of Nidhogg.

We have the most fun playing Nidhogg in front of our TV with friends. Sharing a TV and controllers is way more comfortable than crowding around someone's desk and sharing a keyboard. Exclusive to the PS4 version, the built-in tournament mode now indicates your fencer's color on DualShock 4's light bar... how cool is that?!

When you're not hosting an awesome Nidhogg tournament at home, you can get some practice in by playing through the single-player training mode, which has a variety of AI personalities you can practice against. Of course, sometimes you want to play against a real human, so playing with your friends via PSN is going to be super sweet.

In the past few months we've been watching Twitch streamers play Nidhogg on...
