Reaper is Coming to PlayStation Vita as Free-to-Play Action RPG

5w ago - Creative Director Luc Bernard announced today alongside a PlayStation Vita video trailer that Reaper is coming to PS Vita as a free-to-play action RPG!

To quote: Hello, I'm Luc Bernard. I'm the creative director, and art director, and - well - I look after many other roles on Reaper for PS Vita. Now this is my first time doing a post on Playstation.Blog, so it may sound a bit all over the place!

I don't know if anyone remembers, but years ago Reaper was announced back in 2010 for Playstation Portable. The title had to be put on hold for a while sadly, but now it's back. I'd say it's a great thing that I waited this long to resume development and show it to the world.

Reaper is a free-to-play title exclusive to PlayStation Vita. Personally the Vita is my favorite portable system for many reasons, which I don't think I need to go into since you Vita owners already know them.

Now let's talk about the gameplay. Reaper is an action RPG platformer, so you'll be leveling up, pulling off combos, destroying enemies, and all those kind of things.

But what makes it unique is the card system. Now don't worry, it's not like those mobile games that have cards where you can't do anything with them -...

Video: Nidhogg on PS4: Sidescrolling Competitive Fencing Action

10w ago - Messhof LLC Co-founder Kristy Norindr posted up a video today announcing some sidescrolling competitive fencing action in Nidhogg on PS4 with details below.

To quote: Hello blogizens, we at [Register or Login to view links] are super excited to announce that [Register or Login to view links] is coming to PS4! The game has always been best played with gamepads, so we're pumped to be working with Sony on our newest release of Nidhogg.

We have the most fun playing Nidhogg in front of our TV with friends. Sharing a TV and controllers is way more comfortable than crowding around someone's desk and sharing a keyboard. Exclusive to the PS4 version, the built-in tournament mode now indicates your fencer's color on DualShock 4's light bar... how cool is that?!

When you're not hosting an awesome Nidhogg tournament at home, you can get some practice in by playing through the single-player training mode, which has a variety of AI personalities you can practice against. Of course, sometimes you want to play against a real human, so playing with your friends via PSN is going to be super sweet.

In the past few months we've been watching Twitch streamers play Nidhogg on...

13w ago - Bethesda Softworks Global Community Lead Matt Grandstaff posted up a video today spotlighting The Evil Within in action for PS4 and PS3 at PAX East 2014.

To quote: This weekend, evil takes hold of our Bethesda Booth at PAX East in Boston, MA.

Throughout the day, we'll be doing the first North American public demonstrations of The Evil Within - the new survival horror game developed by Shinji Mikami and his Tango Gameworks team based in Tokyo, Japan.

During the demo, the game's main protagonist, Sebastian Castellanos, will square off against one of the game's most terrifying creatures: Boxman.

Be sure to stop by our booth and check out the presentation. And if you happen to dress up with The Evil Within cosplay, we'll reward you with a spot in the front of the line.

Can't make PAX? Be sure to watch our new PAX East trailer for a glimpse of the Boxman boss battle.

Stay tuned for more info on The Evil Within - coming to both PS4 and PS3 on August 26th.

17w ago - Sucker Punch Productions Senior Game Designer Darren Bridges shared a video below today showcasing Delsin's ruthless powers in action from InFamous Second Son on PlayStation 4.

To quote: There's a hushed excitement at Sucker Punch as we approach our March 21st launch date. We've been working on inFAMOUS Second Son for almost three years, and in just a few days we'll finally be able to put it into your hands.

Several of our team members are traveling around the world sharing our latest gameplay demo with press and fans, and today we get to show you a mission playthrough from that build.

Like the previous games in the inFAMOUS series, Second Son gives you the option to use your powers heroically or ruthlessly. The path you choose will affect every aspect of the game, from character relationships to powers development to the story itself.

In this play through, Delsin has convinced Fetch Walker, a Conduit with the power to control neon, to help him take out a group of anti-Conduit protesters. With Delsin's influence, Fetch is willing to exterminate the "haters" and anyone else who gets...

InFamous Second Son: See the Live Action PlayStation 4 TV Spot

18w ago - Sony Associate Product Marketing Manager Cristian Cardona of Software Marketing invites PS4 fans to watch the InFamous Second Son live action PlayStation 4 TV spot below today!

To quote: As you may have seen just a few weeks ago, SCEA's SVP of Marketing, Guy Longworth, revealed the first campaign spot for the upcoming PS4 exclusive, [Register or Login to view links].

Featuring the tunes of Seattle-based, Mudhoney's "Touch Me I'm Sick," that gameplay spot is an awesome example of the sorts of experiences you'll be having later this month when the game launches.

We think the spot was a great kickoff to our Enjoy Your Power campaign, and as we were working on ideas on how to communicate the absolute joy that comes from having extraordinary powers, we started to wonder, "What would it be like if it happened in real life?"

From there, the seeds to this new spot were sown. After a few months of hard work, we're all happy to show you what we think that might be like... and how much fun we think it would be to mess with (Or shake up?) the D.U.P.

We can't wait until...
