207w ago - PlayStation Network Executive Producer Kevin Furuichi has shared a video on the PS Blog today showcasing the PULSE PSN Edition for December 22, 2009.
To quote: For those of you wondering what happened to last week's edition of PULSE, it's available today as part of the final PlayStation Store publish of the decade. We delayed the usual Thursday release so we could get you the latest news just before the holidays.
Join Christina Lee for a look at the exclusive Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker PSP demo as well as the first Dante's Inferno demo that's hitting the PS3. The staff also put together 10 Gotta See Movies from 2009 that are still available from PlayStation Store and the list has some surprises. Remember, it's the most wonderful time of the year, right?
You also don't want to miss the Top 10 Game Downloads for 2009. Actually, no surprises, except for the order in the list.
We've had a terrific year bringing you this biweekly program. Hard to believe a year has gone by since PULSE made it's premiere on PlayStation Network. I mean, it feels like we just recovered from our E3 coverage! Thanks for supporting the show and we look forward to an exciting 2010.

207w ago - SCEE's Mike Kebby of the PlayStation Store Team is here with the final European PSN update of 2009, as follows:
It's the last update of the year; I can't believe it! I think we've made inroads into improving the store this year, and of course I have high hopes that we'll carry this momentum on into 2010.
As with last week, we're feeling generous, so I have some codes to give away (these codes will be for one piece of content available via the store) - there is no competition to enter, I'll just be reading all the comments and giving codes out to those I deem the best comments made.
Think of this as the blog version of 'letters of the month' you find in print magazines I'll respond on the blog to tell you you've got a code, and then I'll send it to you via a PSN message.
Onto the content this week then - Hustle Kings is here, and offers all you wannabe hustlers out there to chance to show off your skills with the cue. The classic RPG Vagrant Story also arrives, and is available to play on both PS3 and PSP.
We have our first batch of premium avatars available on the store; and these are all from the world of LittleBigPlanet, so know you can personalise your PSN ID with some of the sackboy costumes we've previously released.
207w ago - Today PlayStationUniversity.com (linked above) reports that a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Slide Presentation [PDF] has made its way to the Internet from the All-Russian Conference on Game Industry (ACGi) 2009.
It reveals, among other interesting things, that the PS3's OS footprint has again been slashed down to 50MB in the latest PS3 Firmware revision.
As mentioned previously, back in PS3 Firmware 1.80 the PS3's memory footprint was reduced to 74MB.
The document also outlines PlayStation Development Resources, Architecture of the PlayStation 3, Case Studies for both PSP / PS3 and Advanced Programming... definitely a good read at 86 slides long!
