How to Get 40 PlayStation 3 Trophies in 60 Minutes

200°
291w ago - For many of us, try as we might to feign indifference, there's a nagging desire that we secure at least a respectable number of Trophies. So for smarter, time-deprived gamers, we've devised this quick-fix guide to scoring a respectable 40 Trophies in around an hour. Onwards, with dignity!

Burnout Paradise
Time: 15 minutes | Number of Trophies: 7 | Trophy count: 7

And we're off. The pristine, sun-kissed streets of Paradise City is where our Trophy hunt begins and, although each metal mug is quite easy to collect on its own, it's a bit trickier to amass all seven in a tight fifteen minutes. Our advice? Check your map regularly.

Repair your car - Bronze: An easy one to start off. Simply drive through an auto repair for that magic metallic pot. The nearest repair shop is located in Angus Wharf, just a few hundred yards from your starting point.

Perform 3 Takedowns - Bronze: That insipid DJ Atomika making your blood boil? Vent a little fury by barging three opponents into traffic or scenery. The best place to get this Trophy is the Lighthouse Rock Road Rage event.

Power Park your car - Bronze: Find two cars parked closely together - most roads will have them - approach them at about 30 and use the handbrake to swing yourself behind the first...

Video: Eight Minutes of WET Gameplay for PlayStation 3

50°
294w ago - While the publishing fate of WET for PlayStation 3 (and Xbox 360) remains in limbo, developer A2M from Montreal is still proceeding with their hot gun-totting action game WET.

The game tells the story of Rubi, an acrobatic, sword-wielding gun-for-hire who agrees to help a wealthy man find and bring back his wayward son. Soon enough all hell breaks loose and the tables are turned, as the man who hired her isn't who he appeared to be. Now Rubi's on the run, needing to find the man who left her for dead and leaving a massive body count in her wake.

A2M Senior Artistic Technical Director, David Lightbown, presented an exclusive 8 minute video of WET gameplay at MIGS 2008 and NextGen Player was given special permission to record the clip.

Note: The video below contains content that is mature (violence). Viewer discretion is advised.

After watching the video I think you'll agree with me that Activision may have made a poor choice dropping this game. This game looks hot.

Video: White Knight Chronicles - 14 Minutes from TGS 2008

50°
298w ago - Apparently White Knight has been kept heavily under the wraps in spite of the persistent fans outcries for more footage and/or screenshots.

Even during TGS 2008 (where we all believed we'd finally get to see some serious footage) everything was more or less cloak and dagger.

During TGS though, certain visitors to the White Knight Chronicles booth received a card that allowed them to download and watch a special 14-minute video of the game featuring some in-studio footage, in-game footage, and a pretty awesome transformation into the White Knight.

That video is now available below, courtesy of Joystiq. Enjoy!

Koller: PSP-3000 Battery Life Decreased by 20-30 Minutes

50°
308w ago - Speaking in a recent interview, Sony Computer Entertainment America product marketing manager John Koller revealed that the battery life of the PSP-3000 will be decreased by 20-30 minutes, due to the larger power draw of the brighter screen.

Battery life will decrease by a small amount, it's about 20 minutes maybe 30 minutes and that's because there's a larger power draw with the brighter screen.

Good news is, despite previous reports to the contrary, the PSP extended battery life pack is not being discontinued and will be available to consumers this holiday season, offering 8-10 hours of play time.
