To quote from the official Press Release: PALO ALTO, Calif. - The inventor of technology used in data vending systems such as the iTunes and Playstation Network systems has sued Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple Inc. (NYSE: APPL) and Foster City, Calif.-based Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (NYSE: SNE) for patent infringement.

Inventor Benjamin Grobler is represented by intellectual property attorneys Christopher Banys and Richard C. Lin from the Palo Alto, Calif., office of The Lanier Law Firm. The lawsuits filed March on 27, 2012, allege that Apple and Sony are infringing U.S. Patent No. 6,799,084.

125w ago - Sony's Ross McGrath of the PlayStation Store Team is here with the European PSN updates for the week of April 4th today, as follows below:

Hey guys, sorry we're a bit late to market this week with our content update, but hopefully you'll feel as though it's worth waiting for and very much in keeping with the quality you've come to expect this year.

It's always a good feeling to give away content in a single month that more than covers the cost of the annual subscription.

So by now, if you've headed over to the SCEA update you will see they're getting Shift 2: Unleashed and Shank 2 in their update this month, courtesy of the lovely folks at EA.

Here, it's no different, as EA's 145 car, 36 track monster of a racing title is now yours at no cost, alongside the ultra-violent and ultra-awesome grindhouse 2D platform-brawler.

Don't forget there are a huge number of additional cars and a couple of extremely useful time-saver packs available for Shift 2: Unleashed, all available from the PlayStation Store.

The PS one Classic this month is Silent Hill, which I'm sure you'll agree is a proper classic title - never before has radio static been so terrifying. Unfortunately you'll have to wait just one more short week until it's...

It is now far more affordable to do so. Also getting a drop in price is the very recent Persona 2: Innocent Sin, a stunning handheld remake of one our company's most highly anticipated games!

Always been a fan of Sting's series of Dept Heaven RPG and SRPG genre-benders? Perhaps you've always been curious to see how Knights in the Nightmare, with its incredibly novel blend of tactical roleplaying and bullet-hell action, looks and plays?

Well, for less than half the price of a new console game, you can own every PSP Dept Heaven game we've ever released (which should set you up nicely for the upcoming June release of Gungnir for PSP, the next entry in the acclaimed series).

Besides the aforementioned two collections,...

125w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store Team has posted up this weeks European PSN Game Store updates today, as follows:

Another somewhat quiet week (now, now, this is an excuse to catch some sun) but I'm sure there's some new additions to hold the interest of a few of you.

The big retail release this week also seeing a release on the Store (on Friday) goes to EA with their release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2013.

A few additions to the Neo Geo range have been added, including The King of Fighters '96, which I know from previous weeks has been asked about quite often.

Oh, I almost missed Arc the Lad II. Given the hype surrounding the first title I'm only certain a lot of gamers were itching for the next game. Well, here it is!

Battlefield 3 DLC has dropped. Yesterday, in fact! The new DLC allows those with a little less time to unlock some of the bonuses the easy way.

I should also mention Modern Warfare 3 Elite Drop 3 will happen tomorrow so keep an eye out for that if you are an Elite member.

Other notable DLC that you may care for is an extra episode for that there crazy game Asura's Wrath. This is an extra episode with a more traditional animé look and the same level of madness.

Don't forget to check...
