The PlayStation Network continues its summer dominance this week on The Drop. Take out The Jackal when the PS3 first-person shooter FarCry 2 joins PSN's digital library of full-length PS3 games.

Role-playing fans are in for a treat this week when Dragon Age: Origins arrives as a digital download on PSN, followed by a kill team [Register or Login to view links] and a modern refresh of the classic coin-op shooter Galaga.

The lightning-fast sword-fighting that makes up [Register or Login to view links] brings its anime action to the PS3.

With a special July 4th edition of The Drop comes a patriotic salute to what is surely one of the year's most anticipated betas.

Soon enough, everyone will be able to join in on the UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception Multiplayer Beta, as it opens on Tuesday to all PSN users. PlayStation Plus members have been enjoying early access to the beta all week, but its time we open things up!

Also, this week - the Earth needs some defending! Sunshine, barbecue and fireworks will come in between you and the apocalyptic arthropod uprising in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon.
