210w ago - A few weeks back we reported news on PS3 Remote Play being reverse-engineered with a Portable API in the works.

Today Dashhacker has released Open Remote Play v1.0 BETA (for Mac OS X), with a Windows version still in the works.

You will need access to a hacked PSP to export the remote play settings. All that's included in the download package.

ORP Howto:

1. If you have not done so already, register your PSP with your PS3 for Remote Play.
2. Copy the ORP_Export folder (it's included) to your PSP under /PSP/GAME
3. Run Open Remote Play Export on your PSP. This will create a file on the memory stick called export.orp. Copy this file to your PC.
4. Run the ORP GUI and click on Import, locate and import export.orp. You will have to manually change the IP address of your PS3, by default it will be set to 0.0.0.0. I keep two profiles, one for local LAN and another for when I'm connecting from the Internet. You can create multiple profiles by simply changing the Name field and clicking Save.

211w ago - Just over a month ago Ifcaro released PS3 USBLD Loader v0.3 RC1 & ModHook Versions, which attempted to increase PS2 game compatibility and added a language/driver file folder. For those unaware, PS3 USBLD Loader allows you to run PS2 image back-ups on a PS3 via USB.

212w ago - Sony has released a bunch of new MAG (Massive Action Game), the upcoming 256 player PS3 exclusive, screens at their Gamer's Day.

The graphics seem rather average but the game is still deep in development and, due to the huge map and battle sizes, mediocre graphics are not surprising.

However, the first MAG gameplay trailer from Sony Gamer's Day 2009 for PS3 is also available.

So those who think the screens look bad, perhaps think again.

The days of TIFF based exploits aren't long gone, at least not yet
Here's the third TIFF exploit for the PSP, enjoy.

Just copy the files to the memory stick root, disconnect USB and go to photo menu. Don't dismiss the exploit even if it doesn't work on the first time, it's *very* unstable. You might get it working on the first time, but you might as well have to try it 20 times!

The h.bin is loaded to 0x08800000, and the text address of paf.prx is passed in $a0 to the binary code. You can then trick out function imports, like for example sceDisplayWaitVblankStart:

sceDisplayWaitVblankStart = (void*)(paf_addr+0x15F068);

This release works _only_ on fat PSPs. The slim version will come out later.
